1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
God judges us by the contents of our hearts! Man judges us from what they see outwardly. #FACT
At Dare 2 Be Different International - www.daretobedifferentskn.com, we promote love for all without discrimination. We may not appreciate your style of doing things. We may not appreciate your beliefs, but we are going to follow our Father God and love you anyway. It is by showing folks LOVE, we believe that we can convert them into fully trust GOD and following Jesus' example of SERVICE to others - not service to RELIGION and TRADITION.
Matthew 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
First impressions can often lead to wrong conclusions. I saw that quotation while reading a Daily Bread devotional entry recently. I had to conclude, "OH HOW TRUE THAT IS!"
We are all guilty at times for judging people from what we see on the outside and by the NASTY things people say about them before talking with them and getting to find out who someone really is. Let's aim to stop that from today. We could be driving away souls intended to do a GREAT WORK FOR GOD. Saul was a Christian persecutor, yet not too bad for God to change. History records him for writing the most books of the Bible which still help to guide the world today.
This judging by outward appearance isn't new. It happened in Pastor Samuel's time too. God called him to go and choose the next King of Israel and he started judging and assessing Jesse's sons from what he saw outwardly. Every son he thought looked big and strong and able to do the job, God denied. Who did God choose? David, a humble little shepherd boy. Why? God had examined his heart!
It was David's humility and service in the field that got him his promotion to KING STATUS. Never despise small, humble and sometimes humiliating beginnings.
Let's start following our father God from today and start examining HEARTS and getting to know people first before judging them outwardly.
Shall we?
