As it was yesterday, it still is today. God appoints men and women to do his work of keeping communities and nations in check with the Word of God. Such God appointed Ministers of the Gospel ought to be FEARLESS and UNBIASED and be prepared to standup and suffer for their stances. Over the centuries, some have lost their lives in the process for speaking the truth and others are humiliated, suffered and jailed like John the Baptist, Paul, Silas and ME for talking TRUTH.
Nevertheless, true men and women of God never stop fulfilling the great commission of preaching the gospel. Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Even though many people have SECULAR jobs which God won't punish them for because they have to care for themselves and their families, true Children of God, ordained or not ordained have a commission to inspire those they are around to REPENT and turn their lives over to GOD - not over to RELIGION and TRADITION.
In encouraging someone to trust God, it is important that we show them first that God will do the FIXING UP and BETTERING once they are willing to humbly yield their life to Him. Don't tell anyone that in order to come to God you have to go to church on a Sunday or Saturday or eat pork or not eat pork or talk in tongues or not talk in tongues or wear a hat or not wear a hat and I can go on and on.
All that is TRADITION and if you have TRADITION and don't have GOD, you are going to HELL.
Once you ask God to take control of your life and let the Holy Spirit lead you and convict your individual heart about right and wrong, you are a SPIRITUAL person and God will bless you indeed. The first step to CHANGE is to recognize the importance of SAYING SORRY to God and even to others. The importance of REPENTANCE.
Matthew 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Repent ye, the Kingdom of God is at hand!
