Christ Is All

Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. (Col 3:11 KJV)

Christ is ALL we need!

There are times in our lives when we pause and think of the many things or people we may seem to need in order to make it through a difficult moment. At times, some of these things or people provide for us a TEMPORARY satisfaction and then we go searching again.

From the onset, may I pause here to state - Christ is ALL we need. Once we grow to recognise this point, we would realize that God isn't a "picker" and "chooser." He would not leave you out because you are too poor. He would not forget you because you don't dress as well as others. He won't pass you by because your bank account doesn't make everyone smile. The scripture above reminds us that no matter who we are and the state we are in, NO  ONE  is excluded from his love.

Christ DOES  NOT  PROVIDE  A  TEMPORARY  SOLUTION  TO  OUR  NEEDS.

There is certainly no other Saviour who is all so powerful, gracious and merciful the prophet Isaiah says in Isa 45:22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

Why not look to Jesus today - Christ is ALL you need!

Just Call

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. (Jeremiah 33:3 KJV)

Have you ever been in desperate need?

We all have been sometime in our life already. I believe that our reactions to our situations were quite different. Some of us would have probably cried, probably gone to talk to some close associate about the issue, some would have even been tempted to commit suicide and some would have CALLED on Jesus as a last resort when all else failed.

Putting Jesus First in your situation is always the best thing to do. The thing is, Jesus is right there and ready to hear and answer. The prophet Jeremiah couldn't have put it any simpler. Call unto me, and I will answer thee. . . (Jeremiah 33:3 KJV)

What a relief - God will answer us when we call. Jeremiah goes a bit further and exclaims that God will just not only answer but he is going to BLESS. According to the passage of scripture, those who trust and believe in him, and are under his perfect will, will get access to great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. (Jeremiah 33:3 KJV)

I believe some of these things are blessings that you never thought would pass your way. Miraculous answers to prayers. Healing. Financial and other Breakthoughs in abundance. God has all of this in store for you when you  SIMPLY  CALL.

Why not ask Jesus to save you today and fall into his perfect will for your life. When you do that, you can be guaranteed an answer from him. Remember  - God answers in HIS time, not OURS, but HIS time is ALWAYS the best time, even though we may suffer for a while.

Just Call!

Have Mercy On Us

And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David. (Matthew 20:30 KJV)

God will have mercy once we ask for it.

Jesus had just completed a parable teaching before his journey up to Jerusalem. As he was departing with his disciples, the passage under review today tells us that two blind men called out to him for MERCY. The multitude of people around were rebuking them, but this didn't stop their persistent cries for MERCY.

Jesus hears their cries and approaches them and asks - "What will ye that I shall do unto you?" Matthew 20:32

Having made their request to the master, Jesus had compassion on them. "Matthew 20:34 So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him."

Just as Jesus performed this miracle on the two men - he is itchy to perform a miracle in your life too. If there is a lesson we can learn from the blind men, it is this - Don't Stop Asking God for What You Want. Be Persistent!

You are not bothering him. You are not hegging him. You are not being a pest. If it's mercy you want - then it's mercy you'll get once you ask. Take your situation before the Lord and continue to do so. In his time, he will come through for you for he is MERCIFUL!

Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear. (Isa 59:1)

STAY  HOPEFUL!

Do Not Fear

So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. (Heb 13:6 KJV)

Man can do no more to us than what God permits. Although it may seem like we are suffering, it is all for our GOOD!

Friend - be encouraged. Do not fear. In times of perplexity and stress, we can still boldly proclaim that God is our helper. We can put our trust in him and know for sure that he will never leave us to suffer. MIND  YOU - It may seem so at times, but God always comes through for those who trust and believe on his name.

Wasn't that the case with Moses? With Daniel? With The Shunamite Woman? With Joseph? With Paul and Silas? With the Woman with the issue of blood?

God will come through for you! The Lord is my helper. This statement is substantially the sentiment found in Ps 27:1 and Ps 118:6. What does this mean. God repeats it over and over to prove something to us as readers.

HE  WILL  BE  THERE  FOR  YOU! HE  WILL  COME  THROUGH  FOR  YOU!

Don't go around living in fear of what man may try to do unto you. Stay Positive - Keep your hopes up and in God's time you'll be amazed at how he will work out your deliverance.

Don't Let LOVE Hurt

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” —I Corinthians 13:4-8a (NIV)

Broken relationships - wrecked marriages seem to have now become the order of the day.

Dating relationships of 3 years, 7 years, 10 years now end so suddenly. New marriages are now lasting months at times. Seasoned marriages of 10 years, 15 years etc are ending in much HURT. Hurt to one member of the couple. Hurt to the children. I am certainly not telling you what I think - I'm telling you how I felt.

The fact and reality is though - We Can Avoid the HURT of love quite early in any relationship. Be it intimate or friendly. The Apostle Paul outlines some characteristics that should be found in ALL relationships.

I am sometimes called upon to encourage both young men and young women who leave broken relationships in shambles or in a state of deep depression.

During counseling sessions, as I get folks to talk and let out, I usually ask the question. Didn't you notice his/her ways before? Many of the tearful responses are, "I thought he/she would change."

Friend - No Way. We must always NOTE the RED FLAGS and BEWARE.

There are too many hurting people in relationships and our ministry had to provide some sought of help in our little way. Thus - Dare 2 Be Different Int'l is humbled to launch a new webpage - http://www.loveshouldlast.com/.

In a section of that new website, http://www.loveshouldlast.com/, I ask.

Do you see patience, kindness, protection, trust, perseverance, hope and love in your current relationship? If not - Note this RED FLAG and RUN. The probability of change is very low - especially if you constantly talk about the LACK of these attributes very often as a duo.

There is nothing wrong with moving on. If you can't find such simple and important characteristics in someone you want to spend the rest of your life with - RUN.

If you have a 'friend' on the job or in your community that keeps disappointing and hurting you - RUN. Sometimes to get away - you have to remove yourself from the situation and START  AGAIN!

David had to run from King Saul. If he didn't RUN - he would be a dead person. Do you want to end up crazy? Depressed? Angry?

David’s leap out of his relationship with Saul ultimately led to his Success later in his life.

There are good people out there! People who can form Lasting Friendships and Lasting Relationships! Don't Let Love Hurt - Follow God's recommendations in I Corinthians 13.

There is Hope! Let go of the PAST HURT and start building again on Jesus - The Sure and Firm Foundation. Don't Let Love Hurt!

A SURE GOD

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. (II Timothy 2:19 KJV)

Have you ever had doubts about someone?

Was it a friend? Co-Worker? Neighbour? Fellow Christian? What relieves you of this doubt? What makes you comfortable again? I know. . . all of our answers vary.

I am happy to share today that once we are with Jesus, our foundation standeth sure! While we may have doubts about others, Jesus provides a SURE  FOUNDATION for us to rest upon as Timothy reminds us.

As you go throughout life, like a ship, we must be properly anchored or we may fall into problems. God is our SURE  ANCHOR. Heb 6:19  says . . . Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

Our Sure Foundation and Sure Anchor also is Our SURE  WORD. If we were placed on this earth without a Guide - we would have certainly hit rock's bottom already. The Bible - The Word is inspired solely by God and no one private. 2Pe 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

What God says in his word is meant to speak directly to your situation and either correct you and/or guide you and inspire you along life's road. Once we follow the Sure Foundation, hold on to the Sure Anchor and learn from the Sure Word, we will certainly end up in a SURE DWELLING place.

Isaish 32:18 says . . . And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.

Once we choose to live for Jesus and follow his word. Apart of his HOPE  PLAN  includes a SURE  DWELLING waiting for us.

I am encouraged that my God is indeed a SURE  GOD with SURE PLANS for my life. Are you still standing on shakey ground? Put your hands in the hands of a SURE  GOD  today!
