We should always LISTEN to WISE  COUNSEL!

One of the reasons why our global society seems to be heading down a path to DESTRUCTION and FALSEHOOD, is simply because many people have turned to their own path and own thinking and DO  NOT  WANT  TO  LISTEN  TO  WISE  COUNSEL  AS  THEY  FEEL  THEIR  WAY  IS THE  RIGHT  WAY  AND  ONLY  WAY.

While I am not GOD and I am not a JUDGE and some of my Dare 2 Be Different International - www.daretobedifferentskn.com strategies and thinking may be quite different and unorthodox to the global orthodox churches, I still have PRINCIPLES and very, very high morals and values.

One's SUCCESS in life ALWAYS comes from their ability to HUMBLE and LISTEN  TO  WISE  COUNSEL.

As a little boy, I always enjoyed being around older folks, both males and females and helping them out for FREE or just talking with them to get some of their WISDOM.

Much of the knowledge and wisdom that I have today, I didn't acquire it while studying online, listening to a professor or while reading. I got it from listening to the WISE  COUNSEL of older adults. They have given and continue to give me WISE  COUNSEL in business, ministry and politics.

A regular USA reader of my devotionals, sometime back, noticed that I was leading Dare 2 Be Different International down a path of establishing a NEW  GLOBAL  SPIRITUAL  MOVEMENT WITH  A  FRESH, RE-ENERGIZED, OPEN  MINDED - FREE  AND  GODLY  THINKING, and quickly stepped in to HELP  ME - not condemn me like so many others, including pastors and preachers, as they GOSSIP and GOSSIP and GOSSIP and try to tear my name apart and destroy me. Thank God for technology - I can hear and see so much.

I value this USA Citizen very much. They didn't condemn me at all. As an older adult who could probably be my father or maybe grandfather, they told me that each new SPIRITUAL ORGANIZATION must have CORE  BELIEFS  and  a CLEAR  CUT  MISSION  STATEMENT if it is to get anywhere. Our group of young heads listened to someone more experienced than us and WE  PUT  THAT  MISSION  STATEMENT  IN  PLACE and we continue to LISTEN to their advice when they communicate now and again.

Sometimes they might quickly send an email to say that they do not agree with a move or a particular thinking, BUT  NEVER  TRIES  TO  FORCE  US  OR  INFLUENCE  US  TO  CHANGE. Now that is GODLY! That is someone who is GODLY! They aren't judging - they are humble, respectful and GODLY.

That USA Citizen, from ANOTHER  RELIGION hasn't condemned us for our NEW  THINKING of promoting SPIRITUALITY instead of religion. They are happy to see that we are PROMOTING GODLY  LIVING - A  PATHWAY  TO  HEAVEN and of course IMPACTING  OUR  YOUTH.

As King David was preparing to hand over the reigns to his son Solomon, he spoke to him seriously. He gave him WISE  COUNSEL and reminded him of the importance of keeping GOD foremost in his life. King David said in 1 Chronicles 28:9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

I wish more fathers would talk with and talk to their children. Their sons and their daughters. I wish more fathers would seek to spend quality time with their children like King David did with his son Solomon.

What a better place our world would be if this dream became reality. Can I open your minds a bit? While many SINGLE MOTHERS have stopped complaining and do a very good job with raising their children and supporting them FINANCIALLY alone, a DADDY's  INPUT  IN  REARING  A  CHILD  would help to make an even bigger difference in that child's life.

As I close, may I remind us all again. LISTEN  TO  WISE  COUNSEL. It helps!

Most times when problems, trials and difficulties come in our lives, we can blame no one but OURSELVES. If we are to ever give birth to BETTER, it is ALWAYS imperative that we change our THINKING - CHANGE the way we do things - CHANGE the way we speak. ALWAYS SPEAK AND  STAY  OCCUPIED  IN  POSITIVE  ACTIVITIES.

1. If you are always behind with your hire purchase payments for the new fridge or stove or vehicle, there is nothing wrong with turning it back in to the store or letting them REPOSSESS it and look for something CHEAPER. I've been there - done that. You do not have to care what those in society will say as people will always TALK, especially if they don't have anything BETTER to do with their lives. At the end of the day, IT ALL  BOILS  DOWN  TO  YOUR  POCKET  BOOK  AND  HOW MUCH  FINANCIAL STRESS  YOU  WANT  TO  CARRY.

Who says that you have to really buy something NEW anyway? You can buy second hands / used items too or take them up when people put them outside and FIX  THEM AND  USE  THEM. Who will know anyway? Not much people.

Sometimes we should learn to SWALLOW  OUR PRIDE.

A few of the suits that you see me in all over social media and all over the world, including the one above, were given or shipped to me by USA friends as SECOND  HANDS and you wouldn't have guessed that - RIGHT? All my life, I've bought or made about five suits. The others were gifts - NEW AND  USED. Praise be to GOD! Even when I become Prime Minister someday, I'll still gladly accept USED suits as gifts. So please save my address. WHO'LL  KNOW  WHAT's new from whats used anyway?

Are you getting the point?

When I officially registered my t-shirt printing business KVK ENTERPRISES - www.kvklives.com in July, 2003 with The Federal Government of St. Kitts and Nevis, about one year after, I wanted to ensure that my employees were all comfortable and didn't have to go too far to get a cold drink. I also had the idea that we could put our monies together and cook together to save all of us money, but we would need somewhere to store the frozen foods. Do you know what I did especially since I didn't have much "play around money" as a new business? I went to a yard sale and bought a USED FROST FRIDGE for EC$500 / US$187 and about two weeks ago, I looked at her and LAUGHED AND LAUGHED  AND  LAUGHED as she's still going strong. LOL.

Of course since it FROSTS up, I still have the HOBBY of cleaning her quite often. This same fridge serves my KVK ENTERPRISES business and my Dare 2 Be Different International Gospel Ministry.

Do you get my point? The RICH  AND  WELL  OFF get where there are in life because they DO THINGS  DIFFERENTLY. They learn from their struggles and financial mistakes and THEY USUALLY  CHANGE THEIR  WAYS  AND  BECOME  VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY WEALTHY sooner or later.

The Prophet Jeremiah had a similar problem with the people in his day. For nothing good, they wanted to CHANGE. He says in Jeremiah 13:23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.

When we do not change willingly, we are then FORCED to change. Jeremiah goes on to say Jeremiah 13:24 Therefore will I scatter them as the stubble that passeth away by the wind of the wilderness. 25 This is thy lot, the portion of thy measures from me, saith the LORD; because thou hast forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood.

CHANGE Your Ways If You Want To See Better and Success In Your Life or God will allow you to SUFFER and FORCE you to CHANGE simply because He wants the best for you. He wants you to come into a COVENANT  RELATIONSHIP with Him and commit to do RIGHT and do GOOD.

God's Love Isn't Puppy Love

Deuteronomy 7:13 And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

God's Love Isn't Puppy Love!

My first ever serious enough love relationship started while I was attending The Verchilds High School. My mother never, ever, ever condemned her children for having a LOVE relationship while in school. She was just upfront about the DOs and DON'Ts and getting anybody's child PREGNANT. Mommy always let us live our lives and live REALITY and let us learn bit by bit.

I think all parents should be like my mother and the world would be so much better.

Having been talking, eating lunch together in each other's class and walking home after school together for quite some time, I asked my special friend the day before a Valentine's Day what she would like for Valentines. The question shocked her a bit and she didn't know how to respond and then she asked me back the very same question. I knew how to respond though, I said, "I  WANT  YOU  FOR  MY  VALENTINE  TOMORROW."

She blushed and blushed and blushed and blushed and the rest became history. Can I be real? Honestly, I now wish we were still together. Sometimes when I look back, I miss her. First impressions last the LONGEST. (She's probably even reading this devotional now halfway around the world and smiling. I sometimes wonder if the feeling is MUTUAL.)

You call that child like PUPPY  LOVE. The memories of such experiences are etched in one's mind for life.

God's love isn't PUPPY  LOVE  at all though. If you enjoy studying the Bible like me, you'll see that point reinforced multiple times throughout God's word. God has always delivered, healed, wrought breakthroughs, punished his children to get them back in line and so forth.

Moses, a brilliant battlefield leader and warrior for God, addressed the Children of Israel in the book of Deuteronomy and taught them from the heart of how awesome GOD is and how he will look after them.

This very same God of Abraham, Isaac and Moses, the God that is the same yesterday, today and forever, is the very same God who continues to love and care for us daily and who is in the process of working out an ANSWER to our various problems.

Don't give up global friend! God loves you!
