Pressure Point Testimony

And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. (Luke 22:44 KJV)

My personal belief is that people drive people to the edge - Not Situations.

The gentleman was going through a trying time in his life. He was staying hopeful, remaining optimistic and trusting God for a change in his challenging situation. According to him, he always listened positive, inspirational music. He kept soaking in powerful encouraging sermons and read motivational thoughts all the time. He claimed that he tried to always stay around POSITIVE - HOPEFUL people.

The solemn gentleman drew a bit closer and whispered, "Imagine I do all this to stay POSITIVE about better days but my family bashes me every day, reminds me of my flaws and mistakes. My family." he said. "Imagine That!" he concluded.

This was a ticklish one indeed. He wasn't angry, but rather a little upset at their constant spirit of negativity. That is why he walked out of the house and came to look for me. He wanted someone with whom he could talk.

I wondered and wondered what I should say. I didn't want to say anything that would cause him to be disrespectful or think negatively towards his family, but I wanted to be plain and frank.

I took a deep breath and spoke. "Friend, right now you are in your PRESSURE  POINT TESTIMONY MOMENT. Let's look at this example. After the pressure pops a soda bottle, out flows all of the nice flavoured liquid that has gone through MUCH processing. - RIGHT?" He smiled and I continued. " You see, many times God allows us to stand on the brink and reach our pressure point just before he grabs us and prevents us from falling over."

"Why does he allow that?" he asked. "Why does Jesus allow that? It's too hard!"

I honestly know how he felt. I honestly did. So I told him as it was. "My Friend, Jesus allows us to reach such pressure points in life because he uses them to process us and make us what we would be later on in our life. It's not because he doesn't love us, but rather because he knows that at the end of standing firm during our Pressure Points, we'll get our TESTIMONY and know how to live moving forward."

We are not the only ones to experience agony over difficult situations. Jesus did too. Jesus was so concerned about the happenings to come and the state of the world, that we learn in Luke 22:44, he sweat drops of blood. Imagine the agony. Have you ever sweat drops of blood? I'm sure NO - so we're not close to what he had to endure as yet.

Notice something here. Jesus passed through a PRESSURE  POINT  too, before conquering death, hell and the grave and before taking the Triumphant Victory Trophy. He didn't give up at his pressure point. Neither should you.

Just as I told the gentleman, I say to you. After the pain, there is the gain. Your hard times now, and how God delivered you will DEFINITELY be your testimony tomorrow.

Hope is Ahead!

Say It As It Is

When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? (John 5:6 KJV)

Tell Jesus your situation as it is. Don't go around the bush!

Interestingly enough, approximately ten years after I graduated from The Verchild's High School - my alma mata, I was invited back about two days ago to provide empowerment to first and second formers about career choices.

Each speaking invitation that I've accepted since I started my empowerment mission at age fifteen, I take extremely serious. I've been the featured speaker at pre-school, primary and high school graduations, I've spoken to youth groups of various ages and sizes. I've been constantly PAID to help to motivate employees and new small business owners all around the world at workshops and sessions.

I preached dozens of times at churches around the Caribbean and USA and I look forward to making an impact with God's help in Kenya and Ghana very soon. I have enough speeches to publish a book someday. (Why am I saying all of this?)

In preparing for each presentation, I always have to check the audience that I will address. I like to get down to their level every time so I can SAY  IT  AS  IT  IS.

Thus, in order to make the impact that I wanted to on the students and command their attention, I went prepared to SAY  IT  AS  IT  IS. I dropped the well ironed shirt and pant, put on some rags, left the shoes in the vehicle, grabbed a shovel and went to my appointment.

I know. I know. Half the people who know me say that I'm half crazy. My pastor was there. He shook his head, smiled and said, "Typical Khrystus eh."

I portrayed myself as someone who wasted their time during their school life and ended up with nothing in life. No Career. I told them of the many opportunities out there and encouraged them to not just have a dream, but have DREAMS and go after them.

When I was finished. They cheered. They showed their appreciation and said thanks. I walked up and down the school to meet a few of the teachers who taught me and were still there. I walked bare footed and everyone was looking at Crazy Old Me. (Smile).

What touched my heart though, was a little chap that approached me. He probably didn't know me in real life and thought my dramatic presentation was For Real. He said, "Thanks Mr. for saying it as it is. I'll try my best not to end up like you." I smiled and wished him all the best in life. I didn't make him any wiser.

What ever you want in life, you must be prepared to tell Jesus just as it is. You don't have to pray some types of prayers with big words for him to hear you. He is a simple, easy understanding Saviour. Just tell him as it is. If you want to be a nurse or teacher or inventor or speaker or what ever, commit your plans to the Lord just as you make them and see the wonders he can do with your life. Don't go around the bush. If there is some type of breakthrough that you want him to give to you. Tell him - Say it as it is.

The impotent man didn't do that right away.  Jesus asked him a simple question in John 5:6  "Wilt thou be made whole?" The verses after show how the man went all around the bush instead of saying it as it is - instead of simply saying YES  LORD.

Many times, God waits for you to SAY  IT  AS  IT  IS  before he helps. So. . .Say it . . .TODAY.

Hope is Ahead!

Miracles Are For Real

For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle. (John 12:18 KJV)

I woke this morning with a strong urge to remind my worldwide audience that Miracles Still Happen.

Miracles are real! God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Prayer, faith and obedience brings miracles into being. Today, I want you to join with our Dare 2 Be Different Team and pray for a miracle for someone. Please cover at least twelve people in prayer. I don't think that is too much. Call their names. Ask God to send them the miracle they need immediately. Only do this if you believe God is still a deliverer. Let's get the entire world praying. (That's what I sent out to dozens of Smartphone Contacts and That's what was posted on my Facebook Wall Today)

I love the entire Bible. The stories that particularly interest me though are those that relate to God's miraculous healing power. I do believe this is because I have a deep love for science and medicine. I read them over and over and over again. I always mention them while I speak or preach to encourage folks not to give up, God can change situations.

There are countless of Bible stories with to which we can relate. Miracles still happen today too. I remember preaching a Victory Healing Service at a Church of God some years back. At the altar call, several people stepped forward. I remember quite vividly, a lady who particularly stopped the service and asked desperately for prayer because she was about to have a surgery to remove cataract from the eye the following Tuesday. I prayed - the church prayed. It wasn't until months after when I saw the lady again, she said, "Pastor, do you know when the doctors did their tests before preparing me for the surgery, they said they couldn't proceed because they couldn't find anything to cut?" I was dumbfounded. I was amazed. She said your Victory Healing Service brought me my miracle.

Miracles always amaze us. Time wouldn't permit me to share on the countless other miracles that I've seen take place during my years of ministry, but I must share with you ONE  PERSONAL  MIRACLE that means so much to me. This miracle keeps my faith HIGH, even when I am tempted to feel low, down and discouraged.

Having attended my fifth form medical examination before leaving school, I was recommended by the clinic doctor to go to an Orthopedic Surgeon for a second opinion with my mother. Having done tests and x-rays, we were informed that I had severe scoliosis and needed URGENT  MEDICAL  ATTENTION. The doctor informed that it was better we seek medical help overseas because the treatment that I needed wasn't being provided locally. (I still have the Doctor's recommendation letter today right in my KVK ENERPRISES - www.kvklives.com office.)

He stated that the curve in my spine was so severe that if I didn't receive help before age twenty one, I would have severe breathing problems because the curve was causing pressure on my lungs. He also stated that I would walk with a severe noticeable twist for the rest of my life.

My mom got busy making arrangements and strangely enough at fifteen years, I got busy praying. I wanted one of those miracles I'd seen God do in the Bible and heard preachers preach about.

A USA Based Shriners Hospital for children explained to us  the two available options to help. I had the option of wearing a back brace which would not stop the curve, but just prevent it from getting any worst. The second option was to have surgery, which would insert a metal rod in my back for life, but this was a fifty-fifty chance, we were clearly told because of the complexity of this surgery.

Time won't permit me to go on explaining in detail. What I can say though, is that I am now twenty nine (29) years old. My mother kept pushing me to consider further help in my teens years, but I was adamant that God would have healed me and I wasn't going. If you know me, you will see that I run up and down with the youths at Dare 2 Be Different events without a breathing problem. Next time you see me, if you ever get to, or search one of my pictures online, you'll see that I am not severely twisted as the doctors would have said. I don't wear a back brace and I never went for surgery.

MIRACLES  ARE  FOR REAL!

You may not need a healing miracle today. It may be job wise, financial wise, family wise. What ever it may be, know for sure that God is still in the miracle working business. Pray and keep your faith high and pray some more. God answers just at the appropriate time. He didn't bring my miracle into place in a day or week or a month. He took time to process it. Keep your faith high - If you want your miracle and ask God for it - He'll send it!

Matthew 9:29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

Hope is ahead - Don't Give Up - Don't Give in!

Reflect on God's Goodness

O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. 2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD. (Psalm 117:1-2 KJV)

When last have you just paused, stopped complaining and just thought about God's Goodness?
During a conversation last night with an acquaintance on Facebook, I got thinking. I had asked the young lady what she was up to and her response was startling. She said, "I'm just here chilling and thinking about how good God has been to me."
Honestly, you really don't get much talk about God from young people whether online or offline. ESPECIALLY  FROM  LADIES. I commended her immediately. You see, each day we awake, we have a choice to make. We can either worry and stress about yesterday's happenings and the storms we have to face today or we can just relax and reflect on how good God has been to us over the past days, weeks, months, years.
While laying on my bed this morning, I was trying to figure out how I would deal with a particular matter today. Honestly, I started stressing a bit. My mind went back to many other challenges that I had previously and how God answered my prayer and helped EVERY TIME.
I immediately carried the matter to God's throne and did what he asks us all to do in 1st Peter 5:8, "Cast our cares on him." That is exactly what I encourage you to do today. Put every burden, every trial, every issue, every fear, every circumstance on Jesus today and leave them there.
God's merciful kindness has brought each of us to where we are today and will take us onward too. God's truth and Word never changes. God gives us many promises. Here is one in Hebrews 13: 5 I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
So, don't choose to stress and worry today. Instead, lift up your hands, heart and voice and just praise the Lord. Sing aloud. You can dance too. Nothing is wrong with rejoicing and praising God in the midst of your deepest trial. Paul and Silas did that and God came through for them. Their situation changed IMMEDIATELY. God still can provide instant, immediate and miraculous deliverances. Don't give up. Keep praising and trusting. Remember,  O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. (Psalm 117:1 KJV)
Hope is Ahead.

God Is Not Like That

Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom. (Micah 7:5 KJV)

Has your heart been left in shambles because of some shocking act committed against you by a friend? I feel your pain. I know what it's like. I've been there OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER again. This is a great time to cling more to The Master because God is not like that.

I oft times have to encourage persons who've been tremendously hurt by someone they once considered a close friend, husband, wife or family member. These sessions are usually filled with much tears or on the contrary, ANGER.

I've had many personal situations like that to face during my life. Here's one. Sometime ago, as God would have it, my telephone rang. It was someone I considered a real good acquaintance. I repeatedly kept saying hello, but got no response. I assumed they were going to talk with me but was probably finishing a quick task.

I held on for a few more seconds. I then heard the voice of the person. They started talking, but NOT  TO  ME - but ABOUT ME. Some of the things I heard them saying in the conversation about me were shocking. They were properly occupied trying to tear my name apart. YES  I  HEARD  THE ENTIRE  CONVERSATION. I knew the person well and so I easily picked up some of the colleagues who were also engaged in the conversation. They say hello and smile with me each time they see me - even until TODAY and they don't know that I heard.

Having hung up. I wondered how I should behave after. Should I stop talking to them forever? Should I forgive them now or later? Should I tell them about it? Should I leave it there?

What would you do? I'm sure that our answers would vary.

Honestly, I had always heard preachers share about God being the truest friend ONLY, so I refused to let this situation bother me. I was reminded of the words in Micah 7:5, "Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide:

I had learned another life lesson and had decided that I'll TRY my best to just be as normal as possible even around them. Up to today, they still smile with me and greet me well and talk with me and they don't know that I know. TECHNOLOGY!!! Since I've started that practice, I've learned to make it a common part of my life. I've built my own guiding statement and try to live by it. "Even when others wrong me, talk bad about me and wish me bad, I should still bless them and be the best good Samaritan I could be."

Global reader, it was soon after developing that strategy, that I was reminded of  Romans 12:20,  "Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head."

If I had not learned to develop that strategy, the many occurrences of so called friendly disappointments would have turned me into an angry lad or crazy street roamer. So when I'm talked about negatively and I know who did the talking, I still act normally to them. You should too! Isn't that what the Bible says in Romans?

Still treat them like Kings and Queens! HEAP  UP  THE  COALS  OF  FIRE  ON  THEIR  HEADS!!! As you trod throughout life, expect daily, weekly, monthly, yearly SHOCKERS from those you consider close friends, family and co-workers. Don't hate them though.  Love Still!

Technology is a great tool. Once you know how to use it well, like me, you'll always know what everyone is saying about you. THE  GOOD  AND  THE  BAD.

It can also be very destructive at times. I thank God for using the technology over and over and over again to constantly give me a peak at REALITY so I can know how to govern my life and be very careful with friends and those I think are for me, moving forward.

If you've been terribly hurt by a friend or close loved-one, may I admonish you to put the matter in God's hands. Forgive, Forget and Learn from it.

God the Saviour, our closest friend for God is Not Like That.

Hope's Ahead!
