Have You Ever Felt Like Joseph?

Ge 37:5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.

Ge 39:1 And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither.

Ge 39:2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

Ge 39:4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.

Feelings of Hatred, Dishonour, Loneliness can still yield success, prosperity and wealth once you stay hopeful.

Have you ever paused to imagine the pain and agony that little Joseph must have felt as his brothers acts of hatred were being carried out? What did Joseph do to be thrown in a hole, sold as a slave and thrown into prison?

The answer - He simply DREAMED! It is a good thing to dream. It is also a good thing to pursue your dreams and not lose HOPE. May I remind you from the onset, if you are a DREAMER, this is a very, very, very serious thing.

Why? Simply because you will be hated for being a dreamer. From those far from you, from those close to you - even your OWN  FAMILY. You will be negatively talked about. People won't understand you or your doings. You will make mistakes. You will fall and rise many times. If you are to see your dreams come to pass, you must develop a patient, humble yet determined spirit like Joseph.

Many of the great inventors and success stories in life passed through similar phases, but they never lost HOPE - they never gave up.

Joseph could have fallen into a state of deep depression and died from high blood pressure when he thought about what had become of him. He simply refused to! Even when thrown into the hole - HE  REMAINED  HOPEFUL.  Even when sold as a slave - HE  REMAINED  HOPEFUL. Even when thrown into prison after wrongful accusation from Potiphar's wife - HE REMAINED  HOPEFUL. During all of these years of hatred and challenges Genesis 39:2 says . . .the LORD was with Joseph.

Friend, the Lord is with you too - REMAIN  HOPEFUL. There is a portion of the story I like the best,  Ge 39:2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a PROSPEROUS  MAN; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.Ge 39:4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.

After all of the pain and long suffering, the Bible tells us that Joseph became a PROSPEROUS  MAN and moved from the prison cell to the HOUSE of his MASTER - THE PALACE.

What a story - from the Prison to the Palace. From a little shepherd boy to RULER. History tells us that the same brothers who hated him had to turn to him for help. LOOK  WHAT   THE  LORD  CAN  DO.

In your situation, you may be feeling alone, depressed and burdened over your dreams and aspirations not coming to pass as yet. Don't be - just remain HOPEFUL and remember Joseph. You too will rise. You too will move from your trying situation to one full of success!

Focus on the POSITIVE - Never dwell on the negative!

There's nothing wrong with feeling like Joseph once you take on the ENTIRE  EXPERIENCE. Love the Lord, Run the Race, NEVER  LOSE  HOPE and lookout for your breakthrough.

Hang Tight

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1 KJV)

Hold On!

The story is told of a construction worker who slipped from a scaffold while doing his daily duties onsite a very tall building being erected. As he was falling, he was able to grasp a thick rope that was securely fastened to the building.

The frightening experience quickly drew much attention from his co-workers and onlookers. I could only imagine how scared the worker in crisis felt. He then heard the words of the site supervisor - HOLD ON - HANG  TIGHT - WE  ARE  GOING  TO  SAVE  YOU!

I believe those words brought a sense of reassurance and hope to the gentleman that everything would be alright once he HELD ON.

You may not be falling from a building right now, but when you examine your life - you are in a crisis and you feel that no one else but God can help. Well. . . HE  WILL  HELP once you ask.

Don't give up! Don't lose hope! Don't let go! The Psalmist David reminds us, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1 KJV)

God has heard your prayer. He knows your trouble. He is in the process of working it out. HANG  TIGHT!

You may be asking right now, "Why is God taking so long?" "Why doesn't he just make things normal again?" "I am tired of hearing he's working it out."

Friend - Don't get frustrated! God sometimes allows us to go right down to our LOWEST, like Job, like Daniel, like the three Hebrew Boys, like Paul and Silas, so that when he shows up and delivers, we would have NO  DOUBT  in our mind that it was him - IT  WAS  GOD!

God is going to show up in a BIG - BIG - BIG  way for you - with a SUPERNATURAL  DELIVERANCE  and  BREAKTHROUGH.

Just HANG  TIGHT!

God Will Be There

9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; 10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. (Psalm 139:9-10 KJV)

As a believer, there is a comforting fact found in the scripture under review today. It reminds us that no matter where we are on the face of this earth - GOD  IS  THERE.

I was a teenager when I was CHOSEN by Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, Prime Minister of The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, along with some other colleagues of mine to attend a business conference in Brazil. To date, that was the longest flight that I ever took and there was a major time difference. I remember it like yesterday. I was still able to pull out my Bible on my hotel bed and read it. I was still able to pray to God. It was very exciting to know that God was with me half way around the world.

David comforts us as readers when he gives a vivid explanation as to the extent of God's care for his people. We know that no one could actually LIVE in the deep sea, but David shows that even if we decide to go there - God will be right there leading and holding our hands.

Be comforted friend! Where ever you may be around the world reading this devotional, God is there and ready to take care. What ever trial you may be experiencing, God is ready to stand with you in the fire, like he did with the Three Hebrew Boys.

I know. . . times are challenging - but - God is right there in the midst holding your hand. He's great company - he's a great friend. He's a great help. Keep your hopes up! Don't Give Up!

Give Thanks

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever. (Psalm 118:1)

We should always give God Thanks!

The very fact that you are able to read this Hope Devotional today is reason enough for you to give God thanks. You are alive! You can see! You can hear! You can think! You can move around! You have clothes on your body and shoes on your feet! You have someone close to you that cares, even if you don't think they do. You just had something to eat or you are thinking about what you are going to prepare to eat or snack on. You have some money to function. It may not be alot but you are able to survive.

There are countless reasons we have to give God thanks, yet we forget to do so ever so often. The Psalmist reminds us that we ought to give God thanks because he is good, because of his everlasting mercy.

Stop worrying about your TEMPORARY  SITUATION  and give GOD THANKS for he is preparing a PERMANENT  SOLUTION.

You see, God didn't have to take his time out to be caring for us individually. He could have left us to deal with ourselves. Ohhhhh what pain that would be for many of us. Having to deal with our burdens and problems ourselves. Having no one to pray to for help. Having no one to trust in. That would be a terrible situation.

When last have you thought about you? Thought about your life? Thought about the situation you were in sometime back and thanked God for His deliverance? Yes he delivered you before and he can deliver you again once you believe on his name.

Do so today! Thank Him!

I read a thought provoking line just yesterday. It said, "What if you were to wake up TODAY with only the things you gave God thanks for YESTERDAY."

This troubled my spirit and created in me a new mindset to remember to give God thanks for everything and in everything as Thessalonians 5:18 admonishes.

A key note for us all, many times our answer comes while we are thanking and praising God.

HOPE  IS  AHEAD -  JUST  THANK HIM!

Don't Doubt!

29And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.  30But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. (Matthew 14:29-30 KJV)

Doubt slows down our breakthrough and deliverance.

The enemy constantly tries to fill the hearts of many persons with doubt AND FEAR. Many times, many persons stop trusting God and start doubting that he is well able to deliver. The popular story of Peter in our scripture under review today shows the awesomeness of God as Peter is allowed to walk on water when the master bids him come.

On the contrary, we get a picture of the danger of doubting God. Peter was in a FRIGHTENING  SCARY  situation. Everything was going well with him as he walked on the water despite the boisterous storm. He began to doubt and thus began to sink and had to cry out for help. Of course, the Lord saved him - but he could have made the entire walk had he not doubted.

There is a lesson for us all today. Doubting slows up our journey to our destination of SUCCESS  AND  DELIVERANCE. We should not doubt like Peter or Thomas or Sarah who laughed when told she was told that she would be with child soon.

Nothing is impossible with GOD!

As you continue throughout your life, DO  NOT  DOUBT.  Continue to pray and trust God. Continue to push and depend on God. Watch the company you keep, DO  NOT  hang around people with doubting AND FEARFUL spirits. When you maintain a positive attitude, one filled with HOPE, you will reach your destination faster and God will come through sooner.

Stay Positive - Stay Hopeful - Never Take Your Eyes Off Jesus - Do Not Doubt! Watch God Come Through Tremendously For You VERY, VERY SOON! I'll be waiting to hear your testimony as you maintain your Positive Attitude. Just email it to me: drkhrystus@kvklives.com (If you permit, I'll share it with the world as we only share testimonies and stories of our clients once they permit)

Be Blessed!

Breakthrough Comes After Obedience

And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him. (Joshua 6:5 KJV)

We must learn to be obedient to God!

While fingering through the pages of my bible this morning, I was led to a powerful study in the book of Joshua 6. God was setting up Joshua and his people to conquer Jericho. The instructions given to Joshua by the Father were clear and concise. If he wanted to triumph, he had to be completely obedient.

When the time came, Joshua carried out God's instructions PRECISELY and this led to a massive BREAKTHROUGH for the children of Israel. Without throwing a bomb, and by just marching and praising God, the high walls of Jericho came tumbling down with ease.

What a God!

Just like how those walls came tumbling down with ease, there are some walls and barriers in your life that you want to fall. They are stressing you. They are burdening you. They are scaring you. They have you constantly worried.

If you are a believer in Christ, there is something I can remind you of. God wants to cause your walls to tumble too, but you must be COMPLETELY  OBEDIENT  to him, his word and his instructions. Many of us fail to see our walls come tumbling down because we want God to answer with a Breakthrough and we don't want to follow his clear instructions in the word.

It can't work like that my friends. OBEDIENCE  THEN  BREAKTHROUGH!

Why not give that formula a try TODAY, and like the walls of Jericho which fell flat, your walls of problems will fall FLAT too and you would be victorious.

God's waiting for your obedience!

You can be FREE INDEED

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. ( Joh 8:36 KJV)

Across the world, there is a constant search for peace and freedom.

There are many people who are battling with past decisions and past mistakes and can't seem to move forward. Some go to their graves all trapped and tangled up because they never got to the point to ask for forgiveness and to even forgive themselves.

A young lady tells of how she was ill-treated as girl growing up. She was constantly sexually abused by a step father who promised her that if she ever told her mother, he would kill her and her mother. As she spoke, the tears ran down her eyes and then she got angry with the world. Her voice became rough - tough - aggressive. It's like she hated everyone - even me - the person she was talking too.

This was one of my hardest counselling sessions. What should I say to this young lady in need of help. God quickly led me to this particular scripture in  John 8: If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

I knew that the process would not have been instant, but by getting the lady to recognise that accepting Jesus is the first step to gaining freedom from the issue at hand, was a GREAT  START!

God knows what you've gone through in your life. He knows what you are holding in your heart. He knows how bottled up and trapped you are. He is just waiting for you to turn the matter over to him so that he can grant you FREEDOM.

FREEDOM  is all you want! Give Jesus a try. Talk to him - He's waiting to listen. Tell him EVERYTHING! He has time to listen. When you're finish telling him everything, ask him to save you and carry the burden thereon.

You are too weak to carry your burden or burdens any longer. Cast them on Jesus - so says The Apostle Peter.

You can have your FREEDOM  TODAY.  If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. ( John 8:36 KJV)
