Don't Let People Upset You

28 year old Brother Khrystus V. K. Wallace, President and Founder of KVK ENTERPRISES, Dare 2 Be Different International and The Blazing Star Movement and President of The West Farm, Boyds and Palmetto Point Community Group in St. Kitts

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: (Ephesians 4:26 KJV)

People are bound to upset you!

This is a fact that has been evident since the very first family was placed on earth. Cain was upset with Abel because God accepted Abel's offering and rejected his. Joseph's brother's were upset with Joseph simply because he was a dreamer, ALWAYS  OPTIMISTIC AND  HOPEFUL.

Things haven't changed much since then. People will get upset with you no matter what you do. Good or Bad. Strangely enough that's life!

There is one piece of advice I want to share. Don't take on people like that. Don't let anyone upset you. When they get you a bit angry, stay calm, act professional and talk with Jesus instead of to them. I believe one of the reasons we probably have such a high rate of persons suffering from high blood pressure and stress, is simply because we let people upset us and cause us pain too easily.

In reading through many of the accounts in the Bible, we can learn many lessons from Jesus' responses. Many times when he was challenged and accused, he didn't say a thing. Even when he was on trial just before he was to lay down his life for our sins, he didn't say anything.

Isaiah 53:7  He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

When ever people try to upset you and you get a bit angry, simply take a cool walk away from the situation and talk with Jesus as you go. This isn't being coward. It's being wise! Sometimes, even when you are in the right, simply say you're sorry and move on. There is nothing wrong with that too.

I'm so sorry. . . .Look how easy that is to say. Friend, if any of my actions in the past or in the future have upset you or will upset, let me use this forum now to publicly say - I  AM  SORRY!  I  AM  VERY  SORRY!

If we let every situation upset us and get us angry, we'll have NO  TIME  to keep our eyes on pursuing our dreams and staying HOPEFUL. That's a trick of the enemy! Don't let him succeed and Don't let people upset you!

Deal? - Deal!

Don't Let Failure Be An Option

Brother Khrystus Wallace, President of Dare 2 Be Different International (St. Kitts) and The United Villages of West Farm, Boyds and Palmetto Point Community Group with The Honourable Shawn K. Richards, Deputy Prime Minister of The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis on Church Street - St. Kitts opposite Government Headquarters - Photo by Trinity's Karis Warner

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: (II Timothy 4:7 KJV)

Don't Quit - Keep On Pushing. Never let failure be on your list of options!

Sometime ago, I read a fiction story about hundreds of frogs that lived in a community. The story says that one day, the frogs decided to have a competition. They wanted to see which one of them could climb to the top of the highest antenna in the village. This was like the Olympics of today.

The day came for the big event. Hundreds of frogs had enrolled to be apart of this event and tens of thousands of onlookers had come out to see who would win this race. Media houses from every area of Frog Kingdom were covering the story.

POW! The sound of the gun started the race. Each little frog started climbing quickly. Beneath the antenna, onlookers were constantly being negative with their talks. One by one you could hear statements such as, "None of them will ever make it to the top." "Tommy is too weak." "Why did Mariana even think about entering that race." "That one is too fat." Lots and lots of negative statements filled the air as each frog tried to reach the top.

It is said, that bit by bit, many frogs dropped off and couldn't complete the race. ALL  BUT ONE. This little one kept going and going and going. The negative statements still filled the air, but he kept going and finally WON the race.

He returned to the bottom of the antenna to a cheering crowd and proud parents. Media houses asked the parents what they gave him to eat and how they trained him for this race. The parents simple said -"HE'S  DEAF!"

I hope you get the morale of this fiction story. Many times, those around us cause us to quit and fail because we listen to and adapt to the NEGATIVES being spoken around us, over us and behind our backs. Stop doing that friend!

Even when those around you constantly call you down and wish bad for you, still keep on PUSHING and FIGHTING until you win the race with Jesus on your side. They will do that to you on the job, at church, in your community, in government, at home, everywhere. But, don't succumb to their negatives - YOU  CAN  MAKE  IT!

The Apostle Paul was a great Bible character who had some trying times as he carried the gospel to the ends of the earth. I am sure sometimes the flesh inspired him to give up, yet he pushed and pushed and fought and fought. That's just how life's race is - you have to keep trying and pushing.

Friend, the race will be rough and tough, but you have to keep running in order to get the PRIZE. Paul spent much of his ministry running to escape death. The good part is though, he made it. YOU  CAN  MAKE  IT  TOO.

The Naysayers will talk - but push still. As you do what you do, people will wish bad for you, but don't stop climbing. Like the little frog you'll make it. Like the Apostle Paul, you too will be able to say. . . I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: (II Timothy 4:7 KJV)

Cheers - Let's work to get to the top together!

You Were Built To SUCCEED

28 year old Brother Khrystus V. K. Wallace, President and Founder of KVK ENTERPRISES, Dare 2 Be Different International and The Blazing Star Movement and President of The West Farm, Boyds and Palmetto Point Community Group in St. Kitts

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. (3 John 1:2 KJV)

You were built to succeed!

When God took time out of his schedule to hand craft you into the beautiful princess or handsome prince that you are now, he added a special touch of SUCCESS to the 'clay-mix.' He knew that your hair would be brown or black or blond. He knew that you would always have a great smile. He knew that your humble personality would take you places. He knew it.

You were never RUSHED OFF during the making process. God took his time with you. I like how the Psalmist puts it in Psalm 139:14, I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

What does that verse mean? Each of us was uniquely created - Full Stop.

Don't let anyone speak down to you or tell you otherwise. When they do, simply smile and remark - "I'm God's Gem - He Took His Time on Me!"

Many of the children and youth to whom I minister always tease me and try to touch the little patch in the middle of my head that would probably soon go bald. They laugh and say - Brother Khrystus, you need BOSLEY. I would respond in return with a smile and say - It's one thing I know for sure though, is that I'm fearfully and wonderfully made.

I always try to show them by example that no matter what anyone says about them, they should still remain confident and aim for SUCCESS.

I believe that John, in writing in 3 John 1: 2, wanted to convey two messages to those around.

1. They should aim to PROSPER in both their SPIRITUAL and PHYSICAL LIFE

2. They should aim to always keep their SPIRITUAL and PHYSICAL LIFE  HEALTHY.

You see, John knew for sure that God has implanted in each one of us, unique talents and gifts for us to use and succeed in life. Some of us use them and gradually climb the ladder to success, while others sit on them and remain in one spot all their life!

God wants the best for you. He wants you to succeed. He actually gave you the tools to do just that! Are they packed up on the shelf or are you using them?

We all may not travel far and wide to attend university. We certainly aren't all inventors and business owners. Everyone won't be a doctor or lawyer. Everyone won't sing in the choir. We all can't bake nice bread like my mother (smile). We all aren't salespersons. But. . . each of us is uniquely gifted with a talent that can help us SUCCEED.

May we together remain HOPEFUL that one day soon - we'll bask in the sunset of success and praise God for guiding us there!

HOPE  IS  AHEAD!
