Hope for the World - You're Included

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16 KJV)

 There is HOPE for You!

Having checked today's date, I realized that today marks the 2 month anniversary of this devotional. This entry is the 61st entry since Dare 2 Be Different International out of St. Kitts - West Indies started writing these messages of HOPE.

I wanted to get an idea of who we were reaching, so I strategically requested a report be delivered to me today. Our technology analysts who carefully track which countries are popular visitors to our www.hopeisahead.com website revealed that we have a consistent readership in the USA, Russia, France, St. Kitts & Nevis, Canada, Dominica, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Turkey, Taiwan, Germany, The United Kingdom, Antigua, Zimbabwe, US Virgin Islands and China. There are many other passerby countries.

We were humbled to hear that many of these repeat visitors, actually 37%, were accessing these devotionals on a constant and consistant basis from their BlackBerrys and iPhones. This report, by no means reflects the hundreds of readers that receive emails directly to their mail boxes.

I must note here, that a response to our ministry stated that, a particular hope message prevented someone from committing suicide. It stated as they were browsing the web for the last, they found us on google.com proclaiming that HOPE  WAS  AHEAD and changed their mind. That person is happily alive today - All Glory to God! How can we stop now?

The passage of scripture above, quite popular across the world reminds us that there is HOPE  FOR  EVERYONE. Whether your country is listed above or not, whether you're reading this message from a tech phone or a simple computer. Whether you're listening this devotional from a radio host who is reading it. There is HOPE for you. God had you on his mind when he died on the cross.

He also has you on his mind right now as he sits on the throne. The exciting part is that he already has the end result of your situation in the palm of his hand. In order to reap this grand prize, you must TRUST him as Lord and Saviour of Your Life, or if you have continue staying faithful.

Daniel received his reward. Enoch was miraculously promoted. David became king. Joseph went from the prison to the palace and we can go on and on. The point I am trying to raise here, is that once you stay faithful, trusting and hopeful, a grand prize awaits you.

God loves you. There is HOPE for the world and because YOU are in the world, there is MUCH HOPE for you. Stay trusting!

Sing To The Top Of Your Voice

I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. (Psalm 104:33  KJV)

Sing Aloud! Shout Aloud! Still give God the praise.

A recent visit to a neighbouring Caribbean island reminded me visibly, that things are tough everywhere. The current economic recession was really touching the world. As I took an evening stroll down the road of this beautiful country, some very very loud singing arrested my attention. I looked and looked until I saw where it was coming from.

To my utter surprise, it was a homeless lady, sitting on the side of the road, on a sheet, with her small suitcase next to her as she took what ever coins persons would drop in her cup. Friend, I wish you could have seen and heard for yourself. In the middle of her trying situation, she was HAPPILY  SINGING  AWAY.

This is a great lesson for ALL of us, inspite of our challenging situations, we can still sing and shout and give God the praise because it is due unto him.

Throughout Psalm 104, the Psalmist reflects on the awesomeness of God and his handiwork. He has time to admire so much. In the latter part of the Psalm, he is so excited that he triumphantly declares that he is going to Sing Praises unto God for as long as he lives.

I believe this positive spirit of acknowledging and singing praises unto God even though things may be rough is one way of calling our deliverance into being. Friend, many times our deliverance comes in the middle of our Best Praise.

So. . . sing to the top of your voice and Give God The Glory and lookout for better days are ahead.

You Don't Have To Die In Your Desert

And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? (Exodus 14:11 KJV)

 Hang On - You won't die in the middle of your trying situation. Just Hold On!

A meeting yesterday, came with much encouragement for me. I listened quite keenly to a seasoned business veteran and his words caused me to HOPE  ON  MORE. He said, calling my name, "You know, many people always think that I came from a very rich family. This is not so though. I came from one of the poorest villages in my country. Actually, later on in life I learned that my mother probably couldn't afford to take care of me, so I was given up for adoption." I was amazed, for I always thought that he came from a 'well-to-do' family." In closing, he said, "I had it hard. I had nothing at times. I came from no where. I never attended university. I cried the other day when I looked back and see where I was and where I am today."

It was a similar case in the book of Exodus as Moses was leading the Children of Israel out of bondage. At some point as they were traveling on, things must have become tough. Faith Filled - God Directed Moses now faced much opposition and verbal challenges. The angry Israelites were constantly chanting. . . hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? 

They couldn't see the opportunity ahead. Moses saw it though. Thus, in faith, I believe he proclaimed that "They Were Not Going To Die in Their Desert."  History tells us how they pushed on and were delivered. Although having to wander in the wilderness for 40 years, after that period the Children of Israel made it to the Promised Land.

Friend, you may be at your lowest point now. You may be feeling broken, depressed and ready to give up. DO  NOT!  Still keep your hopes up. Still stay positive. Still have faith. Once you do, YOU  WON'T  DIE  IN  YOUR  DESERT - You will Rise and Achieve all that GOD has intended for you to achieve although YOUR  HATERS  AND  MY  HATERS continue to try all they can to fight us down. Still Don't Give Up! WE  WILL  GET  THE  VICTORY! That's for sure!

The key to achieving and moving onward and forward is to stay trusting in God with high hopes that things will get better soon! You'll SHOCK your enemies and put your naysayers to SHAME!

You Will Make It! Don't Give Up! Hope is Ahead!

When Jesus Gets Involved in Your Situation

And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately. (Acts 9:34 KJV)

But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up. (Acts 9:40 KJV)

Get Jesus Involved in your situation!

It is sad to say, but many times we are guilty of trying to deal with things ourselves. When things get bad, real bad, it is then we call on Jesus. This should not be the case at all. We should keep The Master always intimately involved in our life and affairs.

Over my years of reading and studying the Bible, I've noticed something very common among many of the historical accounts penned there. Whenever JESUS got involved in a situation, things changed immediately. He caused the blind to see, the dumb to talk and the deaf to hear. He cleansed lepers, fed thousands, healed paralyzed, parted the red sea, delivered his people.

Again, whenever Jesus Got Involved - Things Miraculously Changed!

In the book of Acts, we see that the disciples were very busy and excited about spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. This book holds accounts of what they began doing soon after Jesus' resurrection. Peter, while doing his ministry in Chapter 9 meets up on two people in desperate need of a Supernatural Breakthrough.

He doesn't try to do or say anything that comes from him, but rather Gets Jesus Involved. A man named Aeneas is sick of palsy 8 years. Peter says to him, "Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole." Look at what happens IMMEDIATELY after, Aeneas arose. Things changed. He was now able to walk. That's what happens when we get JESUS involved.


In the second account in Acts 9:40, a popular seamstress whose name was Tabitha but by interpretation was also known as Dorcas. She dies suddenly. The community mourns as she is remembered for her good works.. Some faith-filled person hears that someone connected to JESUS is in the area and sends to call Peter.

Peter, acknowledges that he can't do anything of himself and calls upon JESUS. He kneels and prays.With his faith now high, he speaks 2 words, "Tabitha, arise." And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

That's what happens when we get JESUS involved - Things Change!

Friend, there is a miracle waiting for you TODAY. In order to access it, you must get JESUS involved. You've been trying to handle it all by yourself for far too long, when your answer and your deliverance has already been provided for you, all you have to do is access it.

You Can Be BLESSED In The Middle Of Your Mess

And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her father's household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth in Israel even unto this day; because she hid the messengers, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho. (Joshua 6:25  KJV)


By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace. (Heb 11:31 KJV)

You can be delivered in the middle of your WORST  circumstance.

A whatsapp message to my phone some hours ago caused me to immediately shift into "Double Encouragement Mode." The person shared their issue with me and my words were - "Things are going to work out!" Their response wasn't what I expected though. The person said, "I'm tired of hearing that and nothing is changing." It was then I knew I had much more encouraging to do.

I didn't bash them for making that statement for at times we all feel that way too. What is interesting and exciting though, is that God, many times, blesses in the middle of an individual's mess.

I personally know about that. I've been through a whole lot in my life and I SURVIVED! You can too!

This was the case with Rahab the Harlot. In today's terms - Rahab the prostitute or Rahab the whore. Bible history tells us that she was a well known prostitute in her time. In many cultures then and now, people looked down on prostitutes, and in a sense WROTE   THEM  OFF. By doing this, they offered NO  ROOM for forgiveness and restitution.

JESUS  IS  DIFFERENT   THOUGH!

Joshua and the children of Israel were about to come up against Jericho. Rahab aids his team by securing and protecting some spies. Her help to God's work and plans for his people immediately allows her to gain her BLESSING in the middle of her MESSY  LIFE. She and her family are saved from slaying or being KILLED when Jericho is conquered.

What a God! You may feel like the situation you're in is way too difficult for a deliverance. This is NOT so! There is NOTHING  TOO  HARD  for  God to do. Like Rahab, be willing to go all the way for Jesus our maker and he will not forget you.

The formula is very simple, Trust Him. Stay Faithful. Support his Work. Receive Your Breakthrough and Blessing. STAY SPIRITUAL - not religious.

Trust God my friend. Things are going to work out! No mess is too small or large for God to deal with.

You can be BLESSED in the middle of your mess - Just Believe on Jesus Christ and Keep Your HOPES  HIGH.

Your Crisis is Usually Your Turning Point

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. (Joshua 24:15 KJV)

Some situations require an immediate shift in our behaviour or else . .  .

This was the case with the children of Israel in the latter part of the book of Joshua. God used Joshua, now an elderly man to remind the Israelites of how much GOOD he had done for them. God delivered them from the Egyptians. He gave them land and food that they didn’t have to work for. He constantly protected them.

Their thanks to God came in an UNGRATEFUL  PACKAGE. They neglected him and served other Gods. This made him real angry. Joshua 23:15 says “Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things, until he have destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.”

I like many things about God, but there is one thing that stands out very much that I love. That is his heart of grace, mercy, compassion and forgiveness. Notice in the book of Joshua 24:15, God still gives them another chance to TURN. “. . . . choose you this day whom ye will serve;”

They all accepted that they had been ungrateful and in the verses after Joshua 24:15, they happily COVENANT that they will serve the LORD again and so they did.

The children of Israel were faced with a sudden crisis. They would be put to death for rejecting God. They quickly repent of their sins and transgressions and finally TURN. They are allowed to continue living the life of prosperity that God had granted them before.

Many of us have been just like the children of Israel. Ungrateful and Neglecting of Gods's hand upon our lives. This bad spirit has brought us to our crisis.

You may be in the middle of a crisis right now. NOTE - There is HOPE! What ever it is, I really don’t know. God is requiring you to TURN  COMPLETELY  to him and do things differently. If not, you will surely DIE. (This death may or may not be a physical death, but rather destruction to your dreams and plans for failing to do things differently.)

Fear God – TURN  TODAY! Once you do, there is MUCH  HOPE  AHEAD just like the children of Israel. “. . . . choose you this day whom ye will serve;”

Like Joshua. . . be ready to CATEGORICALLY STATE: “as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

HOPE   CAN  BE  AHEAD  FOR  YOU  IF  YOU  TURN!

You're Next In Line

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. (Psalm 37:25 KJV)

Your Supernatural Blessing and Breakthrough is on its way!

Throughout today, quite strangely, I had a number of encounters with people testifying of how God has blessed and delivered them or someone close to them. The host of a new and upcoming “Miracle Program” on one of our local radio stations here in St. Kitts – West Indies, was giving God thanks for how he had provided and delivered him when he was at his lowest point in life.

As I drove home today from church, I listened quite keenly to one of the passengers speak quite excitingly and audibly. She was recounting how much fun one of her colleagues was having on a vacation. “They went on a cruise,” She said, “Now they are in the USA sight seeing and visiting popular spots where everybody dreams of seeing one day.” She ended. This passenger was happy for her friend and went on and on.

I simply began to smile inside. To myself, I thought that it was very strange that everyone was testifying today, and then I uttered the words softly and internally – I’m NEXT in line.

Please note that this is in no means saying that God hasn’t done anything for me or you already, for he has done a lot already for you and I alike; actually, blessings too numerous to mention.

What I can say though is that we all have some other dreams and desires that we long to see fulfilled and just can’t wait for them to come through.  Let’s keep our faith and HOPE HIGH  as we BELIEVE  TOGETHER that WE  ARE  NEXT in line.

The Psalmist David must have been probably relaxing and reflecting on life when he penned the verse under review in Psalm 37:25. “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

In all his life, he categorically states that he has NEVER – EVER – EVER seen God forget to look out for and take care of those who endeavour to serve him and live righteous lives. NEVER!

Friend, this means that as you enjoy and celebrate with others, you need not get angry with GOD or feel jealous at anybody else. The scripture above should remind YOU that God won’t forsake YOU. All you need to do, is to keep your HOPES UP for. . .

YOU  ARE  NEXT  IN  LINE  FOR  YOUR  BREAKTHROUGH  AND  BLESSING!
