When They Turn Up The Pressure, Turn Up Your Prayer

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime. (Daniel 6:10 KJV)

 Just pray more!

My last few days were quite challenging. I kept asking myself, now what's next? I didn't complain or worry though. When ever I'm going through something, I always remember that  somebody else probably has it much worse than me and I haven't reached a Daniel or Job or Joseph situation, so things are still good.

While busy printing some t-shirts for an order that I had, God reminded me of the story of Daniel. People grew jealous of him. They started to hate him a lot because he was favoured by the king and was doing his job. He was a very outstanding person in the King's eyes.

That sounds like your situation now, right? You're shining in school or on the job and people are just hating you for nothing. You stay busy at church and always volunteer your help in your community and you get used a lot and bench warmers sit there and bad talk you and wish all the bad for you right?

Many people probably laugh with you and you hear about the evil things they say about you behind your back. Many of them even have the audacity to play like they're you best friends. I know. I know.

Some of them go the extra mile to try and send you crazy by applying pressure or trying to cause you to live in fear. Some even wish you could die. I know. I know.

Friend, that isn't bad yet. That's people! So be very careful with EVERYONE. They can turn on you just like that. Watch your family and friends closely. Expect anything from ANYONE at anytime.

I've been there many times. You too - right? Interestingly enough, what we've been through cannot be compared to Daniel. He had people hate him so much, that they went to the extreme to get a law setup against him. WOW! They wanted him dead because he was too OUTSTANDING.

I love what Daniel did. When they turned up the pressure on him, he turned up the prayer. What do I mean by turning up the prayer? He knew that the God he was trusting was well able to deliver him from anything and everything. He didn't become fearful. Neither should you!

To prove how BOLD Daniel was, when his nation was summoned to not pray to any other god but the king, Daniel went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime. (Daniel 6:10 KJV)

I'm totally excited. Do you understand what he did. PUBLICLY  DISOBEYED because he knew that his God was bound to deliver. Deliverance doesn't come instantly though. God allows Daniel to go down to his LOWEST. LOWEST I say. He was actually thrown into the den of lions and spent the night. They den of lions then is what we CALL  JAIL  TODAY.

God victoriously delivered him while he was down to his LOWEST- IN  ANCIENT  JAIL and still trusting him. 

Friend. You're not there yet. The fact is, that none of us would ever like to go down to our lowest. I've been there. I know how it feels. I can testify of that. If you ever feel like you're there though, like Daniel, still pray. Still trust God. When you do, be assured that deliverance will soon come to your door.

God delivered Daniel. He delivered many others. God delivered me. You know about that right? He can DELIVER  YOU  TOO!

What you're going through doesn't mean that you are worst than anybody else. Ask for God's forgiveness and deliverance and just wait on him. Don't let society make you feel any different or any lower than anybody. It's nothing new. People are in the condemning business since Bible days. Do you remember when they wanted to stone the woman caught in the act of adultery? What did a caring and forgiving Jesus say? John 8:7 "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her."

When they turn up the pressure, simply turn up your prayer! Those who were after you, hated you, jealous of you and wanted you to fail and get out the picture, will actually stand amazed when YOUR  GOD  SHOWS  UP,  BLESSES  AND  DELIVERS. Look - you'll see!

Let's Just ALL Get Along

Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. (Luke 17:3 KJV)

Let brotherly love continue  (Hebrews 13:1 KJV)

If we all aim to get along, we'll be keeping each other properly motivated, encouraged and hopeful. This is simply because there will be no cause to argue, but rather time to build up.

The gentleman did all in his power to catch my attention. I heard the shouting, the loud bellow of my name, but I really didn't realize where it was coming from. Someone was trying their best to command my attention. I listened more attentively, found the person and drew a bit closer. He didn't say anything at first, but his smile spoke on his behalf. I knew he was happy about something.

He finally mustered the courage to speak. He said, "You're doing a great job with those Dare 2 Be Different Things." I quickly and surprisingly asked, "So you listen to my Global Radio Programme?" He replied, "No, I mean the things you send out in the emails man. They are a lot of encouragement. Sometimes I feel down and ready to give up and then there comes your GODLY and INSPIRATIONAL  WORD. It's like you know just what I was going through when you were writing. So I listen to you, I always refuse to give up."

I stood amazed. I don't mean to discriminate, but I was so shocked that even that person was taking time out to read and get God's encouragement too. I honestly can't tell everyone who is on my mailing list now. It's just too many global folks. As I was walking away, he had an afterthought and shouted, "Wallace, don't stop writing because I won't stop reading."

As I walked away, I thought about how much encouragement that two minute encounter was to me. It gave me another uphill surge to continue spreading these messages of HOPE and never stop now. My messages go out to thousands, but only a handful of people respond periodically to say thank you or to say they are blessed by what we do. What if we can all just get along in this world and work to encourage each other? Can you imagine how POSITIVE, HOPEFUL and OPTIMISTIC everyone would be?

We would correct each other in love when we do wrong as Luke 17:3 recommends and when someone makes a mistake and asks for forgiveness, we would really forgive and simply let bygones be bygones.

We would be ensuring that brotherly love continues.

When last have you told someone about the good they are doing or have done? At home. At Work. At Church. In your community. Online? Doing this gives them an injection to CONTINUE. Don't just bash them when ever you find a fault. Cheer them on when they do their good too. This goes to all of us as leaders too. There is some bit of GOOD in each person. I firmly believe that if we keep endorsing each man's good, they would be more encouraged to do positive things.

Friend, even if you never get an EARTHLY  CHEER - still do your good. God's watching!

Imagine a world where everyone only makes positive statements. Imagine a world where no one ever looks back at each other's past, but rather motivates them and help them see their destiny. Imagine a world where no one gets JEALOUS but rather cheers on an upcoming stalwart. Imagine a world where your brother, sister or relative can peacefully hold your hand and dry your tears when you make a mistake and are sorry. This would simply be the result of  ALL of us getting along.

Let brotherly love CONTINUE. Let's put ALL our differences aside and just GET  ALONG. Let's just encourage, motivate and push each other ONWARD and FORWARD into their destiny. It can happen - There is Hope!

But. . . if you can't find the people to do that, MARCH  ON  ALONE. MARCH  TILL  YOU  REACH  YOUR  DESTINY - YOUR  PRIZE! Look neither to the left or right at those who've stopped moving on for one reason or the next.

The hope isn't on the sidelines - It's AHEAD!

Stay Focused

Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. (1 Corinthians 16:13 KJV)

God knew I needed some sought of immediate encouragement this time. I wanted someone to speak some empowerment and victory words over my life and just as I wished, so it was. Thank God for the Smartphone. These were not Smartphone Broadcasts though, they were messages meant directly for me. Just for me. God allowed some individual BB contacts to be thinking about me around the same time and send me well needed words of triumph.

(Panap) My phone went off. I checked it. "JESUS  NEVER  FAILS" in big bold letters. "How did you know I needed that reminder?" I said to myself

A few minutes after, Panap, it goes off again. This time the messages says, "What ever you're going through, know that God isn't punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the grace of God will not protect."

I was like whoaaaaa. . . . God is up to something!

I paused and prayed and requested some other contacts to pray at the same time too. I always try to remain in a spirit of EXPECTANCY - You just never know when God is going to show up and deliver, so we have to always be ready.

I continued what I was doing and later that night, my phone goes Panap again. This time it is a lady from our sister island Nevis who had just added my Whatsapp:1-869-661-0118 earlier in the week to say how much encouragement our Hope Devotionals were to her. She said she had been trying a long time to make some sought of contact but was unsuccessful.

Little did she know that God had set that up. Less than a week after, she would be helping me TOP UP my spirit. (Yes, preachers and teachers many times need encouragement and a spiritual injection of encouragement too.")

Her message asked, "How was your day?" My response, "A bit challenging." She didn't hesitate, she let me have it. "You made it! Stay Strong! Another one is ahead!" I smiled and I told her that that was a great topic for a devotional and I added it to my Devotional Outline Journal.

She wasn't done with me yet. She continued, "I'm just heading home from prayer meeting. It's so amazing how our lives could just take some sudden turns," she said. "But you know what, it's DESTINY! We've just got to STAY  FOCUSSED!"

It had all added up. God was doing things differently that night. He did the opposite. I'm usually quite occupied encouraging folks on my Smartphone many times and hearing them out as they share their struggles. He put me on pause and allowed some of my smartphone contacts to do the same to me.

After I realized that God had carried me through a TELEPHONE  HOPE  SESSION, I got aggressive with the enemy. I kept repeatedly saying, "I  WILL  MAKE  IT." I started playing my first single titled, Don't Give Up - Hope's Ahead, over and over and over again.

I was filling up my Optimistic HOPE Tank.

I then remembered the Apostle Paul's words, Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. (1 Corinthians 16:13 KJV)

His words reminded me, and should remind us all that we should always be on the look out for the enemy's next move. He moves through co-workers, partners, friends, frenemies, church members, bosses etc. As we remain on the look out, we must aim to STAND  FAST in FAITH on God's principles.

I love the way writers used the Old English. The term "Quit You Like Men, Be Strong," suggests that we are to BE  BRAVE and COURAGEOUS all the time.

Once we develop that type of Optimistic Spirit and remain FOCUSSED, we will definitely get the chance to GRASP the HOPE  that  lies  ahead.

Hope's Ahead  Indeed!

You Can't Turn Back The Hands of Time But. . .

And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: (Exodus 14:15 KJV)

You can't turn back the hands of time but you can choose to go FORWARD.

I paused to reflect today on the many mistakes I've made before and how the Lord had always helped and delivered after my penitent spirit. Sadly, I still find myself feeling sorry even after I would have made the mistake or mistakes some time back and know that God had forgiven me.

I spend time wishing I had never done certain things, failing to recognize still, that God had forgiven me and it was time to MOVE  ON. While nicely seated quite recently, with my face in the palm of my hand and my elbow on my leg, God said to me - YOU  CAN'T  TURN BACK  THE  HANDS  OF  TIME  BUT  YOU  CAN  CHOOSE  TO  MOVE  FORWARD.

I sat up immediately and my HOPE was refreshed. That was indeed a truism. My heart quickly went back to the book of Exodus where I remember God had said something quite similar to Moses and I read and re-read and re-read that up-to-the-time revelation several times.

Moses was at a point in his life like many of us are today. He was down, depressed and disheartened. As one reviews this passage of scripture, Moses doesn't utter a word, but God saw his heart. He was crying and hurting internally probably because of PAST disappointments.

God sees and knows your heart too. He is going to take care of you - Don't Worry!

God's word to Moses is POWERFUL. He says. . . "Moses, why cry unto me? Tell the children of Israel that they need to go forward. They need to advance."

I hope you're overly excited like I am. God wants you to know that you need to stop crying and worrying. Stop letting what people say and do stress you out and cause you to live in fear. Things happen. Stop looking back, set your eyes on what is AHEAD - A New Hope. A New Opportunity. A New Success!

While you read, someone is planning for you, BUT GOD. God has you right in the PALM of his hands and he will be there for you. Don't Give Up!

You can't turn back the hands of time, but you can choose your DESTINY ahead. Your future can be drag, boring and disappointing or it can be BRIGHT, PROSPEROUS and SUCCESSFUL despite your current situation. Keep looking up. Keep looking ahead.

Hope is Ahead - Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

The Impossible Can Become Possible

And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.(Luke 18:27 KJV)

Have you ever wanted something that you thought was impossible and then you got it?

How do you feel after? Let me jog your memory a bit. Do you remember when you really wanted that bicycle or doll set for your birthday or Christmas and your parents kept saying things were tight and difficult and it won't be possible that year? You felt down and depressed until the day came and you realized they had really come through for you.

Do you remember when you went to the interview and everyone in the room with you seemed more qualified and intelligent than you? You felt that there was no way in the world you would ever get that job and then out of the blue, do you remember when you got a call, then an official letter to start working soon after?

Do you remember when everyone thought that you were a hardened criminal because you were arrested and had your mugshot published all around the world and then you won your case and put them to shame?

You're probably smiling by now and remembering different cases where what seemed IMPOSSIBLE suddenly became POSSIBLE.

Wait! Wait! Wait! It wasn't luck - it was GOD!

Throughout the pages of the Bible, we see God making what seemed impossible to man - POSSIBLE.

He caused the blind to see and the dumb to talk. He spoke and the dead rose. Jesus called and allowed Peter to walk on water. He commanded people who couldn't walk to take up their beds and move on. He told storms to behave themselves.

Do you remember hearing that Jesus took a few loaves and fishes and fed over four thousand men, besides women and children? (Matthew 14:21)

What about his miracle of turning regular clear water into some of the BEST  WINE that anyone would have ever tasted?

Job lost everything. EVERYTHING I say. EVERYTHING. Then, God showed up and blessed his latter end. This caused him to receive much more than he had at the very beginning of his life. In today's society, the world would write you off as bankrupt.

When you have it and things are well - you usually have many friends. When it's tough, and you're down to your lowest, you're usually all ALONE. I've been there, DONE  THAT! Do you remember?

I don't ever remember hearing that the woman with the issue of blood had friends who were accompanying her to doctor visits or even to see Jesus.

Something that doctors had called IMPOSSIBLE to heal, she knew that with Jesus the master - Healing was indeed possible. A touch of the hem of his garment, proved this true.

Hebrews 13:8 still stands true. "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." The God of many miracles YESTERDAY, still can perform great things today. All we have to do is ask.

Friend, many of us long for some type of SUPERNATURAL showing of God's power in our life.

Don't ever think that it's impossible, for it certainly is POSSIBLE. Just as we turn up our radio and television when we want more sound, let's take the opportunity now to TURN  UP OUR  FAITH  because we want more SUPERNATURAL  BLESSINGS  TO  RUSH  IN  ON  US.

With your FAITH and HOPE turned up to all, rest assured that that which once seemed impossible will suddenly and miraculously become POSSIBLE in your life.

Healing is coming your way! A change in your marriage is at hand! Your financial breakthrough will soon come knocking! Your children will come to know the Lord as Saviour!. A call for a job will soon come! Approval on the loan is coming! You will be favoured with that court case! I was.Your vision and dreams will come to pass soon!

Hope is Ahead and God can make what seems IMPOSSIBLE - POSSIBLE!

Just smile - Don't Worry! Hope is definitely ahead for YOU!

RISE

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. (Romans 6:14 KJV)

Spread Your Wings and Rise!

I couldn't hold it any longer during the session with that client. I helped the person cry too. I had disobeyed the man made counseling laws that one isn't to cry with a client but remain strong. I had no choice but to hold on to God's instructions in Romans 12:15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

The situation was a tough one indeed. This brought me to reality. I had to conclude that tough business economic times for me couldn't be compared to the situation of the person. At the end of pouring out their heart, I mustered the strength to utter a few words. I said, "Friend - now that you've let it out, it's now time to ask God for forgiveness and RISE."

The faint smile they gave, meant alot to me. It meant that the person recognized that there was still HOPE.

In all my life of ministry, I would have never felt so guilty. Why? You probably ask. This is simply because as preachers and great speakers, many times we look for the next pulpit or public speaking engagement to encourage a large crowd and oft times neglect our duty to do like Jesus when he left the ninety-nine to save the ONE.

I vowed that I had to speak with my pastor soonest for how can I feel comfortable in the pulpit spotlight only SHOUTING out what ought to be done, but not lending an ear to listen, counsel and help.

As preachers, we are ALL guilty of doing that. We preach and expect instant and immediate change and never follow up to listen to our flock. I got angry with myself and determined from that session that I must stand out as a Shepherd, listen to the sheep and do things differently. I couldn't be the common minister like everyone else.

If it meant that I was too busy to ever stand in a pulpit again because I was listening and helping individuals to NOT  GIVE  UP - so let it be.

I became adamant that there MUST be a CHANGE in ME so that I can HELP OTHERS. I must be the ONE to remember the STONE that the builders would have rejected.

There are too many hurting people in our world today covering it all up with a smile. You see them as tellers in the bank or customer service representatives at businesses. You see them as CEOs of companies and as nurses tending wounds. You see them as teachers and may I dare say, there are hurting government ministers, doctors and lawyers too.

They are everywhere. As you read, you probably just said to yourself, "I am ONE brother. I am one."  Too many people are trapped in their mistakes and sorrows of yesterday and just PRETEND that all is well. You can RISE once you put the matter in God's hands TODAY.

Friend, you may never get to sit in my office with me, or take a drive and talk. You may never get to go for lunch with me or hear me at an empowerment session. You may never hear me preach at a service or conduct an open air. All you may ever get access to are my words in this devotional as I know you are reading all around the world from my automatic daily reports. So, let me say what I have to say now.

God Forgives! When you ask Jesus into your heart, the Apostle Paul doesn't water it down when he says that Sin isn't your master anymore. Under the law, you would be condemned and sentenced to death. Stoned by fellow villagers until you were dead. That isn't the case now. You are under grace. God's grace pardons and forgives sin and gives you a NEW  HOPE to live on.

Although all around you, you seem to feel the condemnation of the naysayers, bad-mouthers and others, hold on to this word - For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Romans 6:14

It's time to brush yourself off! It's time to RISE! You are NOT less than anyone else. As nice as these devotionals may be. I've made my mistakes. I have my flaws. There are things I have to deal with today just like you. But I would NEVER allow them to hold me back - neither should YOU. Jesus will ALWAYS take care.

You are SPECIAL in God's eyes and You Were Born to Make It!

Do Not Get Weary - My Honest Confession

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. (Galatians 6:9 KJV)

I honestly confess that yesterday I just felt like taking a break from writing these HOPE  DEVOTIONALS on www.hopeisahead.com and break from motivating, counselling and encouraging folks for a while. I wondered if the effort was even worth it.

That was the biggest mistake I could have ever made in my thought life. In one day, God allowed so much to happen that I had to quickly apologize and vow to keep doing what he has called me to do.

You see, I decided to just relax and stay idle during the time I usually awake, keep my personal devotions and then write on my HOPE website. My first DON'T  STOP  REMINDER came through a blackberry message on my Public Phone PIN 220067D8 from a constant reader. All the message said was, "don't forget to put up the devotional today." I was like, gosh. . . give me a break today, there are over 80+ others you can read. (I didn't send it though - Thank God)

What a mistake to even think that. God wouldn't let me get my mind off the person's reminder until I wrote the devotional.

Then, my mother shouted me to come to the table for lunch. She mentioned that we had a visitor. I was like, "gosh. . .a visitor on Sunday during lunch. Maaaaaaaaaan!"

The sumptuous meal was placed on the table and the gentleman introduced himself. He was a visiting Evangelist who was preaching for some 31 years and wanted Dare 2 Be Different International to teach his ministry the ropes with how to use the internet to go global and make a bigger impact. He said as soon as I was ready, he would pay for the tickets and all accommodation and other expenses for myself and team to go to his island and relax and teach his ministry just how to do what we do.

I was awed. An all expense paid trip just for doing God's work. I honestly never even knew that our ministry was impacting his island, for to this date, it has never showed up on our Web Statistics report.

As if that wasn't enough evidence from God that I needed to continue doing His work, he wanted to show me more. In the middle of doing some tasks on my computer, He told me to stop what I was doing, design and print a t-shirt that read on the front, THERE  IS  NOTHING  TOO  HARD  FOR  GOD  TO  DO Jeremiah 32:27 and on the back, JESUS   IS  STILL  A  HEALER. Luke 9:2.

His instructions were absolutely CLEAR. You need to start a Hospital Ministry TODAY. Bathe and go to the hospital NOW. I wasn't risking it. I didn't want to end up in the belly of a BIG  FISH  at all, so, so he said, so I did.

The first room that I was led to, the gentleman knew me and called me immediately. I had seen the face before but never remembered who he was. He said, "just TODAY, I was just placed back on the WARD. I was in I.C.U (Intensive Care Unit) all along and all I had to hold on to and keep thinking about was a HOPEWORD that you sent to me in my email reminding me to NEVER  GIVE  UP.

He smiled, held my hand and asked me to offer a word of prayer immediately. I went from myself a bit. I was totally amazed. This clearly answered my thought at the beginning of the day as to whether or not writing Daily was worth it.

Every single person with whom I prayed and encouraged during my hospital visit was impacted by my ministry. They either received my emails, listened my radio programs, visited us online or were blessed through some other Dare 2 Be Different Ministry Initiative. I was totally amazed and feared the Lord immediately.

At the close of my day yesterday, I could hear God's voice constantly chanting. . . You See Khrystus. . . You Cannot Get Weary in Well Doing. I was washing my hands and all I said was Yes Lord, I see and I'm Sorry.

Each of us was born to make a BIG  IMPACT in small and different ways. How ever you make your impact and help and bless others, may be totally different to how I make my impact. What ever the GOOD is that you do daily or weekly or monthly or yearly. Don't  Stop Now.

Even when you feel like giving up and stopping, muster the strength and determination to still do GOOD. You never may even get to know the impact your life and actions constantly make on others here on earth, but just keep doing what you do in JESUS NAME.

Friend, the key reminder here is, "let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." (Galatians 6:9 KJV)

Much Blessings on You - You Shall Surely Reap! Impacting ONE person is a BIG  IMPACT in God's Books.
