Gosh - Where Is God When You Need Him?

My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God? (Psalm 42:3 KJV)

Rest Assured that God will NEVER leave you or forsake you!

I'll be honest. It's not every morning I wake up fully energized and motivated. As I lay on my bed early this morning and thought about life, the enemy started troubling my spirit with this question, "Where is your God now?" I didn't let the thoughts continue, I immediately went into prayer and shortly after Bible study.

I am very much encouraged now. Thus permit me to share my findings.

You and I are not the only ones who have felt discouraged at times. The strong, powerful, wise, mighty David had similar experiences too. He was at a very low point in his life when the scripture under review was penned. Even during his trying time, instead of getting much encouragement, those around him must have teased him with the question - "Where is thy God now?"

I know that would have probably hurt.

I like what David does. In Verse 4 of this very same chapter, he thinks of HAPPIER days gone by. David was not the only Bible Character who trusted in God and had trying experiences.

Joseph was locked up in prison. Job lost everything he had. Moses and his people were about to be executed by Pharoah's army. Lazarus was dead. The disciples were on board a ship that was about to succumb to a raging storm and we can go on and on.

The point I am trying to bring across here is that many great Bible characters had great trials too, yet they never gave up and never stopped trusting. Records tell us that after their trying experience, since they NEVER lost hope - they all were TRIUMPHANT!

So too - You Can't Give Up - You Can't Stop Trusting! You Can't Lose HOPE now. You too will be TRIUMPHANT!

Don't let past mistakes keep you bottled up and afraid that God has written you off! Don't let what people think or say keep you bound and not progressing!

Joshua 1:5 should strengthen our hearts, There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Psalm 37:25 reminds us, I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

God knew what his people were going through then and he knows just what YOU are going through now. Let me remind you of this FACT. God is right there with you - NOT  hundreds or thousands of millions of miles away.

Psalm 34:7 “The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.”

You will be delivered! Family problems? Pain? Health Issues? Financial woes? Relationship Shocks? Doubt? Rejection? Depression? What ever it is.You will be delivered!

The key to your deliverance is this: 1. Ensure you have trusted God as Lord and Saviour of your life. 2. Don't lose hope. Keep trusting and believing.  3. Step up on your prayer life.

There is a thought that I carry around in my mind, AUTHOR UNKNOWN "Great trials can only be met by great prayer." GOD  IS  RIGHT  BY  YOUR  SIDE  WHEN  YOU  NEED  HIM.

Keep Your HOPES  UP. Don't Stop Praying! Hope is definitely ahead!

God Shall Supply

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 KJV)

God promises to supply all that we need!

Quite recently, quite often now, I've been meeting with people from all walks of life that complain about how hard times are. From young people who cant find a job, to those with jobs, to seasoned entrepreneurs and the list goes on. The cries are everywhere. The cries are similar. There is an encouraging thought for all of us though. Our God Shall Supply ALL, not some, but ALL our needs according to his riches in glory.

Now isn't the time for us to stop doing good and helping others. Although times are challenging, still lend a helping hand where you can.

Still cook an extra plate of food for someone who is in need.

Still look out for the children who seem to be happily playing on the road, but are just really hoping that someone will provide something for them to eat - something for them to go on.

Do not forget to call up your neighbours just to see how they are doing or ask your friend or co-worker if everything is alright.

Where you can - HELP! Please HELP!

Once we remember them, we'll be remembering to work for the master.  Matthew 25:45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

Life makes some very strange turns for all of us. The person you help today, may just be the person who turns around and helps YOU tomorrow. Don't be blatantly HARSH with people. Use your spirit of discernment and HELP.

God hasn't forgotten you. While he's working out your BIG  BREAKTHROUGH, he'll continue to supply your needs.

Richest Blessings!

Don't Let Your Circumstance Break You

And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died. (2 King 4:20)

Then he returned, and walked in the house to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes. (2 Kings 4:35)

Never be afraid to LOOK  TO  JESUS!

The Shunamite woman in our devotional today was rewarded with a child for being hospitable to Elisha, a great Man of God. She is very grateful and carefully cares for the new addition to the family. One day, the little lad has a head pain. He is carried to his father, then to his mother. He dies in the arms of a very concerned mother.

The Shunamite woman displays some BOLD  FAITH in the midst of her circumstance. She carries the child to a room and lays him on a bed. She makes no preparation for his burial. She PERSONALLY goes to see the man of God Elisha, calmly telling everyone she sees that IT  WAS  WELL. She never rests until her son receives life again.

WOW - THIS  IS  WHAT  BOLD  FAITH  DOES!

Do Not Let Your Circumstance Break You! This is the word from Jesus to all of us today. For you, things just seem to be getting worse instead of better and you can't take it any more. I challenge you today to make a BOLD  PERSONAL  FAITH  STEP  TODAY.

Go seek out and talk to God for yourself. Be honest with him. Tell him all your sins and faults and ask for forgiveness. Just Repent! Having done that, ask of him what you desire in BOLD  FAITH and BELIEVE  YOU  HAVE  RECEIVED  IT and  IT  SHALL  BE  WELL  WITH  THEE.

This THING that you are going through is a LIGHT  THING  in the eyes of God. It is not meant to break you, but rather to teach you, mold you and build you.

Mark my words, AFTER this trial. AFTER  this  tribulation.  AFTER this pain. Once you keep your hands in the hands of Jesus the problem solver, YOU  SHALL  COME  FORTH  AS  GOLD!  Refined and Ready to face every tomorrow thereafter.

HOLD  ON!

God is Moved By Your Faith

And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. (Luke 17:19 KJV)

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. (Matthew 17:20 KJV)

Mustard Seed Faith will solve your problem!

I would have read many stories from the Bible of how God Delivered people simply because they had faith. The scripture above highlights one such story. I would have also heard miraculous testimonies from many people too. Some deliverances I've seen with my very own eyes while ministering. God has also moved mightily with miracles in my very own life too.

This simply means that he is still a MIRACLE  WORKER  moved by our faith.

I can remember very well preaching a VICTORY  HEALING  SERVICE  at  a Church of God about three to four years ago. After delivering a power-packed faith message from the Lord, an elderly lady stepped up to the altar that Sunday morning and said to me, "Please pray for me, I am suppose to have surgery on my eyes on Tuesday. The Doctor says that I have cataract." I immediately felt a presence of the Holy Spirit even more amongst us - I could have felt her full faith bubbling up.

I prayed for the lady and left the rest to the master. A few weeks after, I saw the lady. I didn't even remember her. She came rushing to testify that on the Tuesday she went for the surgery, the doctor was amazed. He asked her what she had done for he saw nothing on which he could operate. I happily rejoiced with her and gave God the praise. To this day, she always finds time to remind me of how the power of God was manifested in her life. ALL  GLORY  TO  GOD!

Time would not permit me to tell you of countless more real life healing and deliverance testimonies that I would have seen happen under our Dare 2 Be Different International Ministry during church services, Bible studies, visits to the hospital and homes. In another devotional, I'll tell you what doctors said to my mom about me and the timeline they gave me with regards to SCOLIOSIS after doing XRAYS and calculating a very severe curve in my spine.

They wanted to URGENTLY  OPERATE and put a steal rod down by back and screw my SPINE to it. They said that if I didn't get this done before I was 21, I would have breathing problems, I would be all twisted up and all sorts of STORIES. I declined EVERY  SINGLE TREATMENT  FOR  MY  BACK SINCE  I  WAS  DIAGNOSED from age 15 and just remained POSITIVE that the God that I believe in and says that He is A Healer - Would Heal me because I'm doing HIS WORK - I am a FAITH  PREACHER.

I turned 28 on 4th July, 2014. In short - I'm an OK MAN today. I never had surgery. I never fulfilled the Doctor's Appointment at Shriners Children Hospital in the USA and I DO  NOT  GO  TO  ANY  DOCTOR  FOR  MY  BACK. I am not all twisted. They said that I wouldn't be able to live an ACTIVE  LIFESTYLE. I still run up and down and form the fool with my youths. I don't know if to say that was ALL  LIES and condemn the medical field that I want to enter someday. What I can say though, is that GOD  HEALED  ME!

God is still a MIRACLE  WORKING  GOD. What ever the miracle is that you need in your life right now - You Can Have it! Just have a little faith - mustard seed faith and wait on God to come through.

God is Moved By Your Faith!

Remember - He is Moved By YOUR faith. So. . . .Have Faith! Have Faith! Have Mustard Seed Faith! Things will turn around!

Stay Hopeful!

Strive For Excellence

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Philippians 4:8 KJV)

Be the BEST – Give the BEST – Strive for the BEST!

My afternoon classes and homework sessions came to a sympathetic halt yesterday as a tearful second former entered my gate. The tears rushing down his eyes drew much attention from my students and I had to quickly cease from being a teacher and turn counselor right away.

Like Jesus, I had to leave the ninety and nine to deal with this one. What was the problem I wondered? Probably his mommy or daddy had just given him a good spanking I thought. Maybe something serious had happened at school or home.

The little lad was brought all the way from the city area to my rural business home for encouragement.

As we sat in the nice cool country breeze, away from the onlookers, I let him let out the tears and cry and cry and cry – then I asked. “What’s the matter now?” In a crackling tearful voice, he responded, “I didn’t do well on my midterm exams and I do not waste my time, I’m always studying.

WOW – WOW – WOW! I thought. What a young man! What a star to be! He was taking the advice of the Apostle Paul in Phillipians 4:8 to Strive for Excellence in ALL THINGS.

I shared some of my personal experiences and struggles from school and life. I told him of one of my most memorable school challenges. You see – I too had some poor grades at many midterms too.

Having gone from ALL A1s, I was demoted to 5A2 after 4th Form promotion exams. I told the young chap that although I felt bad, I didn’t let this experience deter me from doing my BEST, it propelled me to WORK  EVEN  HARDER. After the 5th Form results came back, I graduated Valedictorian. I made History – an A2 student was crowned Valedictorian. A student who was DEMOTED, was now PUBLICLY  PROMOTED. It proved that HARD WORK, a POSITIVE  ATTITUDE, mixed with a touch of JESUS yields SUCCESS.

The young chap soon stopped crying. I drove as much  POSITIVE  HOPE  MESSAGES into his little mind. He was now smiling. I finally prayed a Jabez prayer over his life and he was back to normal again. Honestly, I couldn’t get him to leave. He called his mom who approved extra time. Even after ALL the students would have left, he still demanded of me that he needed extra help for a test he was having on the morrow. He came crying but left smiling.

Much of my weekdays are spent encouraging people. I answer countless calls, text messages, emails. I have short and long counseling sessions. I hear from the simplest to the most complicated problems. Yet, this little boy would have left an indelible message on my heart. ALWAYS  STRIVE  FOR  EXCELLENCE.

I’m taking up his challenge from today. I’m learning from my mistakes. I refuse to stay down and discouraged when obstacles come in my way.

Let’s agree together: When we fall, We’ll get back Up. We won’t let the past keep us down, but rather propel us onward, forward and upward.

In MUCH  HOPE and ANTICIPATION, Let’s STRIVE for the BEST – Let’s STRIVE for EXCELLENCE and watch God crown our POSITIVE efforts with success.

Deal? - Deal!

Stay Positive - Stay Optimistic - Stay Hopeful

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (Ephesian 5:8 KJV)

A positive attitude always propels you to your destiny!

I turned on the television last night and took a glimpse for a while at Cartoon Network. Johnny Bravo brought an instant smile to my face. As he was walking down the road, he was singing, "If you're gorgeous and you know it say I AM." He kept singing and singing and singing as he went on his journey doing his usual duty of trying to get a lady.

Even though he was turned down by every single one of them, at the end of the cartoon, still POSITIVE, he said, "Maaaan - Am I Beautiful." Then the screens closed.

We should always endeavour to remain positive, optimistic and hopeful despite our individual circumstances. Doing contrary does us  NO  GOOD at all. It simply fills us with fear and stress.

As the Apostle Paul wrote to the people at Ephesus, he reminded them of the change that had now come upon them since they made Christ their choice. He says, you are no longer in the darkness. That means you are no longer bound by sin, depression, hurt. You are a new person, you are a person of LIGHT, thus walk in this NEWNESS. This Light would cause you to look unto Jesus from whence cometh your help. This light would cause you to know that God is well able to take care of your situation and you need not worry.

This light would cause you to Stay Positive - Stay Optimistic - Stay Hopeful even when everything around you seems dark and gloomy.

We all have our flaws. We all have made some serious mistakes. We all have done things we regret at times. Society has taken on the job to pull down and remind, but God has taken on the job to grant mercy, forgive and forget.

Through out this week, like Johnny Bravo - Keep on Singing - God's eyes are right on you. He knows your name. Things will soon work out!

Time To DROP It

22Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. (Psalm 55:22)

Drop Your Problems on Jesus!

As I was driving today, a song from a game we once played as a child came to my mind. The latter part of the song says, "T-I-M-E: Time to Drop It." When ever those of us who were playing, got to that part of the song, the game became very, very exciting and joyous.

I do believe that if we heed the words of the latter part of that song, we too would experience such a joy. This joy would be even better than that of the children, if we DROP our burdens off at Jesus' feet. I know that there are many persons globally who always seem to wonder about where they can turn with their burdens. May I hasten to answer that question - TURN  TO  JESUS.

The Psalmist in penning the passage of scripture in Psalm 55:22 must have had the opportunity to learn for himself that when he casts his burdens on Jesus, he will sustain. I am happy that the Psalmist didn't hold that piece of information to himself, but wrote it so that we all can realize the answer to our problems.

The latter part of the passage under review today, presents a powerful HOPE message. It says. . . ." he shall never suffer the righteous to be MOVED. (Psalm 55:22)"

Thus, I believe I can safely paraphrase and say that once you cast your problems and issues on Jesus, he will not only take care, he will sustain. God simply requires of all of us to live RIGHTEOUS lives and once we make that our aim from today, know for sure that we will be forever standing on the firmest foundation ever.

What a Hope!
