The Mount Carmel Baptist Church located at Bourryeau, St. Kitts was turned upside down last night September 16th 2012 by Brother Khrystus Wallace, President and Founder of Dare 2 Be Different International and the 26 year young man that is planting a new brand of churches called The Victory Centres (
www.thevictorycentre.com) all across the globe.
Dr. Bishop Kelvin Jones and Members of the congregation were trying to get in contact with the dynamic young man last week, but couldn't because he was overseas representing the Federation's Youth with Mr. Yahson Tafari at the 5th Annual Youth Entrepreneurship Summit in St. Vincent.
Sister Malvie James got hold of Brother Wallace on Saturday afternoon and he explained that he had to check his schedule and also catch up on sleep since he was just back from travel the very same day. Mrs. James, who never seems to give up, encouraged and encouraged and encouraged Wallace to come and speak at the event because that's just who the church had in mind. She went the extra mile to encourage him to do what he had to do and even come at 9 pm or after, since the event was scheduled to end close to midnight.
Brother Wallace honoured the request and did come a few minutes before 9 pm. The instant presence of the holy spirit led him to immediately feel even the more empowered to share the word of God. Before taking his seat, he walked around the church taking photos and videos and immediately sat and wrote a brief CNN iReport and emailed it instantly and got a confirmation response. Sister Jovil Taylor was indeed overtaken by the awesome presence of God as she led worship.

Shortly after, Sister Earla Clarke-Allen took the opportunity to present Wallace to the church. She mentioned that she was a constant follower of the ministry's popular Hope Devotionals on
www.hopeisahead.com and informed the church of how Dare 2 Be Different International was making a global impact.
Brother Khrystus Wallace, a cross-denominational preacher who has spoken for the last eleven years at Pentecostals, Wesleyans, Church of Gods, Methodists, Anglican, Moravians etc hasn't spoken at a Baptist Church for over 4 years and noted that this date will be placed in Dare 2 Be Different History Records.
He certainly didn't mix matters as he spoke on the Praise-a-thon's Theme - "Prepare, Pray, Worship." Having read the focus passage John 4:20-24. and prayed, his first words were, "We live in a world now, where Christians or so called Christians Do Not like to Pray and Worship God Anymore."
He had an allotted time and was trying to get straight to the point. "None of us is perfect. We have all made our mistakes, we have all sinned in thought, in word and in deed, but we should NEVER let what people say or think about us, prevent us from WORSHIPPING GOD. When we do let their words scare us, we are BLOCKING our blessings. It is still true that when the praises go up - The Blessings Come Down!"
"Things are not going to be hard for us all the time. We are not going to suffer like this all the time. We are just in the PREPARATION STAGE where God is setting us up. Like Daniel, Like Joseph, Like the The Three Hebrew Boys, during this preparation stage, we MUST PRAY and WORSHIP God because our BEST is COMING! Don't you remember Job's latter was greater? Your tests now will bring out your TESTIMONIES."
Wallace's face showed that he wasn't joking at all. He had set out to empower young people especially, along with the church. Wallace did a two part altar call at the end of his sermon. Firstly, he called on folks for Salvation and shared how he got his teaching and experience within the Baptist confines and got saved after Brother Bob Holbert from North Carolina presented the message of salvation to him at Vacation Bible School. Wallace further explained what a mighty work God was using him to do through Dare 2 Be Different International and how a little child was leading the way at planting a ministries all over the globe. He mentioned that there is a Dare 2 Be Different in Kenya with another application to establish one in the Capital - Naorobi - Kenya. The Head Office had just approved one for the Nevis end and just approved adoption of a Church and School in Ghana. He told the church that they could see the emails in his blackberry if they wanted to. Wallace mentioned that applications were in from Pakistan, Indonesia and India to establish missions there and since he was just back from St. Vincent, he is working with a group of young people to start - Dare 2 Be Different (St. Vincent & The Grenadines)
Brother Bob Holbert, The Missionary the led Brother Khrystus to Christ in the mid 90s
"God has a miraculous plan for your life!" proposed Wallace. "You've been running, running for a long, long time. Tonight is a SETUP! God set it up just for you. I wasn't to be here. I was delayed in Antigua yesterday for a while. But God sent me here for a reason. I am not going to tell you that the Christian Life is any bed of roses and I'm not going to tell you that I'm perfect either. What I will tell you is that God just wants you to give him a chance with your life and he'll make the difference and do a mighty work through you, just as he's doing through me."
Several young people of various ages, along with adults, trickled their way to the altar and received Jesus. They were ably supported by Pastor and First Lady Jones and other members who hugged and supported them. The second part of the altar call, saw a good 75% of the church's congregation come for prayer.
"The Bible says that if you come to the altar and you have ought against your brother, you must first make amends. Before I pray, I want you to talk to God, tell him the issue with whoever you have an issue with and promise to go and make amends. Many of us a BLOCKING OUR OWN BLESSINGS because we are praying and praying and worshipping and have ought against our brothers. Ain Me Say So - Dats Bible."
Having given them the opportunity to pray, Brother Wallace afterward presented all those at the altar to God in prayer. He then handed over the microphone to Dr. Bishop Kelvin Jones, the Pastor who taught Wallace at Converts Class at The Antioch Baptist Church in 1996 and who also baptized him. Dr. Jones said, "I am amazed and my heart is truly blessed - Thank You Brother Wallace." All who know Pastor Jones well, would know he would have also added his share of Baptist history and personal testimonies.
The evening Praise-a-Thon which was scheduled to end close to 12 midnight, continued with other praise and worship leaders which included Sister Susan Southwell, Sister Faith Caines, Sister Samson and Brother Lasley Benjamin. Power songs that had people praising God and singing loudly in adoration included, "It will be worth is all," "Bigger than all my problems,", "I'm still here."
Many person's couldn't see, but Wallace seemingly lifted his head to the roof during the singing of the song, "I'm still here," just to keep back the tears. He was probably reflecting on growing up in an adulterous home, ridiculed for getting invitations to PREACH the gospel, bashed for his stance on church matters, plus other of life's sufferings.
Wallace constantly reminds those on his team and who are around him, that he is fully aware that his life would be one where he has to STAND ALONE many times with regards to his God-Given Thinking and stances. He is also fully aware that he will have to make unpopular decisions and do things DIFFERENTLY in order to do the work that God has given him to do and not be hindered at all. Wallace believes that every trial, pain and suffering in his life, is just preparing him for the BETTER that is to come and just continues to endure. He always tells his team, "never worry when people say bad things about me, or plan for me or hate me and try to pull me down. Always remember my blessings will not come without pain, suffering and embarrassment. My faith must be TESTED and TRIED before God allows me to live a victorious life and lead The Victory Centre Members globally to live victoriously too. Mathew 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake"
Song leaders didn't fail to warn those who didn't respond to Wallace's Altar Call to come to Jesus when they sang, "Fugitive from God." There wasn't a soul on the ground, but they were all full of the spirit. They weren't talking in tongues - but their tears showed that God was dealing with many on the inside. We could have felt it indeed - ALL OF US. They understood the importance of a WORD to empower the people at EVERY SERVICE, as Paul taught in 1st Corinthians 14:26-40 and that is why they were persistent in getting Brother Wallace to attend and share.
The night would not have been a night without the powerful fingers of Brother Frank Claxton on the keyboard and Brother Kevron "Boogy" Richardson on the drums. Brother Wallace was given a token of appreciation and a big hug by Sister Jovil Taylor and the he took the microphone.
"
I am blessed to see what God is doing here at The Mount Carmel Baptist Church. With your Pastor's Acceptance, Dare 2 Be Different International would be adopting your church from tonight. We want to help you to use the technology to reach the world. Tomorrow, Brother Dwight Berridge, Director of our Media Department will launch our Internet Radio - www.d2bdradio.com and Internet TV - www.d2bdtv.com and we will be using alot of footage from this church on our network. We will be donating a website, we'll be teaching your young people how to use technology in church. We will use our resources and know how so that you will soon be able to collect tithes and offerings through Debit and Credit Cards. We will be showing you how to use technology to raise support from all over the globe. Your preachers will now have a chance to be on our internet radio and internet television. When God blesses the pockets of Dare 2 Be Different International, we'll be sending some of the Mount Carmel Baptist Church preachers to different Victory Centres across the globe to preach and do missions in the future. I have so much planned with our partnership, but I don't want to prolong tonight any more, we will talk futher.
The church gave a rousing applause.
Pastor Dr. Kelvin Jones didn't hesistate to accept the adoption. Afterwards, he shook Brother Wallace's hand, said thanks again and commented. "I am totally amazed - Wow - this-this technology thing - Brother Wallace, you'll be really taking us places."
What a way to end the evening with Dare 2 Be Different International taking one more church that is into the KINGDOM BUILDING BUSINESS under its wing to HELP them using the technology. Mount Carmel Baptist Group Members can expect FREE COMPUTER TRAINING and general empowerment for the Training Union, Women's Fellowship, Men's etc etc for the next year, plus many other exciting and empowering events, conferences and activities. Dare 2 Be Different would be introducing a creative program under it's Victory Centre Mandate - called NO MEMBER LEFT BEHIND, which will definitely bring empowerment to members and prospective members.
Dare 2 Be Different International will be working with the church to get as many youth especially, under it's Mission Mobilization Project -
www.mmskn.org from an early age. This program that was launched by Geoffery Hanley, Director of Youth, some two years ago, has been teaching youth especially the importance of getting a skill, or using the skill they already have in order to open their own small businesses or using technology to market to the world, since it is quite evident that jobs are hard to get. Program successes include Curtis Mulley, with his Mission Mobilization Website -
www.theartdepot.com among others.
If it is God's will, it is a high probability that Youth Business Owners out of the Mount Carmel Baptist Church would receive the first set of Small Business Financing through Dare 2 Be Different Financial (a project that is in the pipeline) once grants for the Mission Mobilization Project are approved for our Caribbean & Global Youth Businesses that we want to nurture, guide, monitor and take them to success levels in the near future.
The Mount Carmel Baptist Church, located on the opposite side of the island to where Dare 2 Be Different's Head Quarters is in St. Kitts, would see the strategic partnership introducing its programs to the other side of the island.
"It's a TOGETHER THING! KINGDOM BUSINESS is a TOGETHER THING. We must end the envy and strife and grudge that exists in so many of our churches and among our pastors and we must begin to WORK TOGETHER if we are to advance the kingdom of God. God is tired of all this division. The disciples had to WORK AS A TEAM. It was Paul and Silas. It was Moses, Joshua and Caleb.
My statements are UNPOPULAR statements and I'm usually ridiculed and hated for my stances on issues regarding the church - but's that's quite OK. The thing is, many church ministers do not want to accept the Vision of a young baby boy. I've been marketing this Techno-Program to churches for 8 years and the only church that came on board and listened to my advice with regards to a website and technology, is The Conaree Wesleyan Holiness Church and so too, we will be working with them" That was one of Wallace's final comments for this report.
Therefore, this means that TOGETHER - Dare 2 Be Different International - The Global Victory Centres and The Mount Carmel Baptist Church founded by Brother William M. Connor have partnered to lead the way in the Federation and across the globe in the KINGDOM BUILDING BUSINESS. Wallace promised that EVERYWHERE people turn in St. Kitts - Nevis and the wider Caribbean from September 2012 and across the internet, Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Linked In and dozens of other social networks, they will be hearing of The Mount Carmel Baptist Church, The Victory Centre and Dare 2 Be Different International turning the WORLD UPSIDE DOWN FOR JESUS.
"We are coming to schools, we'll be knocking on doors, we'll be printing our own Mount Carmel Baptist Tracks. You will be kept up to date on everything Mount Carmel Baptist is doing through blogs and our new facebook page." commented Wallace. "I know you're probably wondering why I am saying WE - That's ok. Not because Dare 2 Be Different is starting our own brand of churches - WE ARE IN THIS THING WITH MOUNT CARMEL TOGETHER. The Victory Centres across the globe WOULD NOT STAND OUT and leave Mount Carmel Baptist in the Closet. When You hear or Dare 2 Be Different Internatinal or Victory Centres, rest assured that you WILL HEAR OF THE MOUNT CARMEL BAPTIST CHURCH from Bourryeau - St. Kitts.
These are the ministries that will be making one of the biggest global differences. It had to be God why the church was so persistent on me coming to preach. God wanted me to see what was going on there and see how Dare 2 Be Different can partner to help the youth and help the church. I fully endorse the ministry of Mount Carmel Baptist Church and say with no water in my mouth, that if you are looking for a ministry to support or partner with in the Caribbean - Try Mount Carmel. If you want to host a concert in St. Kitts - Link with Mount Carmel. If you want a Mission Team to Come - Link with Mount Carmel. If you want to join a church that won't just allow you to warm benches, visit The Mount Carmel Baptist Church or think about a Dare 2 Be Different Victory Centre near you.
It is a SIN to not be active in soul winning. It's just like fornication and lying. Matthew 16:15-16 commissions Saints To GO YE INTO ALL THE WORLD AND PREACH, so if your church isn't equipping you to do that or just has you warming benches, then your church is helping you to sin. That won't be happening at The Mount Carmel Baptist Church or any Dare 2 Be Different Victory Centre at all. We'll equip you and use you almost immediately on KINGDOM BUILDING BUSINESS."
Brother William M. Connor is probably looking down from heaven and rejoicing even more to learn of the partnership that will definitely add more souls - much faster to the kingdom of God and get back to what church really is - MAKING AN IMPACT ON INDIVIDUALS.
Brother Khrystus Wallace, an ordained minister is available to not just travel the world and preach / speak / empower at Youth Events, Conferences and Crusades, but regional and international invitee churches are guaranteed that with his invitation, comes his Ministry IMPACT Consulting along with TECHO-TRAINING to equip individuals in the ministry that invited him on how they too can use technology to reach the world for Jesus Christ.
