It's Truly a Task Being A Role Model - Encourage and Empower - Please Don't Let Another Die

And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way. (Numbers 21:4 KJV)

It is truly a task being a role model.

The happenings of this week with regards to a key role model in the Federation of St. Kitts - Nevis, Masud Sadiki, who alledgedly took his own life has caused me to slow down, sit and reflect on my life too and my moving forward.

Now I'll tell you the honest truth. Being a popular, positive, optimistic figure is one of the hardest jobs on earth. Sometimes I wish I was just an ordinary gentleman and wasn't someone to be looked up to. It's Tough! To make matters worse, I write to encourage people through my ministry website, http://www.hopeisahead.com/  almost daily and I have a worldwide readership. I have clips from my NEVER  GIVE  UP  theme sermons on youtube. I know I have an audience worldwide. How can I prove that? Tourists who pass through St. Kitts from different parts of the world call me or pass by just to see me and to see if what we're doing is for real. A tourist visit from Russia amazed me the other day and the gentleman said, "Mr. Wallace that Hope is Ahead Drama Video on Youtube is Awesome and Powerful. Your team is doing an amazing job." We get similar commendations from all across the world too.

Because of my positive spirit, many people cling to me and the ministry quite easily for encouragement. Therefore, I get calls and BlackBerry messages and emails and texts almost daily from all across the world to pray for and ecnourage people. Sometimes I have to do that even when I'm at my lowest. Imagine if you will, trying to cope with and be innovative in a challenging global economy as a business owner. I also have to cope with it for dozens of other youth and adults who just can't see their way because they can't find a job and pay their bills and mortgage and are ready to give up.

Then, just when I leave from encouraging one person, someone is diagnosed with a sickness and they need comfort too. I tell you, it's truly a task running a business and doing ministry and having to stay POSITIVE in the process.

Honestly, around this time, majority of my HOPE  SESSIONS have to deal with getting many people to change their mindset from suicide. I have dozens of them across the world that I have to keep track of. I pay them special personal attention. These are the people who work next to you and who sing in church with you and who live in your communities. Then, when I get them, by God's grace to change their minds, I have to followup to ensure that they have fully discarded the thought. There are dozens who I know are reading this today - May God Bless You and may you continue to hold on and realize that there is HOPE  AHEAD!

The truth is, society expects Positive Role Models to be IRONMEN and IRONWOMEN and have no troubles and issues of their own. Society forgets that we are just common people like anyone else.

I empower and encourage for hours each week, but need empowerment and encouragement and support too. People rarely ask us "How are you?" and wait to see our honest response. Whether we are down and out or up and happy.

Society just expects everything to be always well all the time with Popular Figures and Role Models. The honest truth is, we sometimes wish we can get away for a while or for good. The pressure of the eyes - the onlookers is challenging. Everyone's expectations are always so high that it is sometimes even stressing to relax and have fun. People watch your every move. Listen to your every statement. Comment on your every action. When you do good, very little is said, but when you slip up, everyone knows that you are the minister or musician or (and the list goes on)

Let me be frank. It's not everyweek that I write on http://www.hopeisahead.com/ or go on my Radio Program or step into a Hope Empowerment Session with a client that I am all excited and optimistic. I never show it though because my job is to stay strong for you.

My job is to empower the radio listener and keep him/her encouraged in the Lord. I can't tell a client how down I am when they are down too. I cannot ever let the overseas client that calls in for prayer hear my down spirit. This is a reality. If I'm not smiling, a passerby just passes and says - SMILE MAN and never checks to see why I'm not smiling.

Role Models and Positive Persons hurt too and need encouragement too - we have our down times too. We have problems on the job and with our family. It pains when our ideas and dreams and goals are not coming through as fast as we like or seem like they won't come through at all. We do have issues. We do get discouraged. We need a better response from YOU if you appreciate the work that we do.

It happened in Bible times too. And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way. (Numbers 21:4 KJV)  People got discouraged too back then! Moses' People were discouraged greatly because of the journey. Job too. David at times. Paul begged God to remove the thorn in his flesh. He was a stalwart for Christ but he was hurting too.

Role Models make a significant contribution to the lives of youth and people in general, but it is my honest opinion that we DO  NOT  TAKE  care of them while they are alive and leave all the good we have to say when they die.

Let's not let another wounded soldier die - another ambassador leave us, by not caring at all. Just as they empower, you empower and encourage in return too. Just as they help you and inspire you. You must do the same too. We NEED each other.

Among a handfull of people that encourage my team and I for the work we are doing, there are always those that stand out. I didn't ask Ms. Lydia Phillip of The Divinity Touch Gift Shop, Charlestown, Nevis (West Indies), a http://www.shopandshipskn.com/ client of mine if I could use her name because I got the inspiration to write this devotional in the wee hours or this morning while she's probably asleep. I know she certainly won't mind.

This week, having not received any devotionals via her email or gotten any texts and calls from me, she took it upon herself to send me an email to check up and a text too. When I called her, I started telling her about a package that was coming in for her. She quickly stopped me and said, "I wasn't calling for that. I was just calling to check up on you since I didn't hear from you for the week or didn't get any Hope Devotionals in my email box."

Friend, that made my day! That made my week too! God knew I was going through a very trying, stressful business day and week and all I needed was ONE EMPOWERMENT message from a concerned person to show that they were thinking about me and caring. Her called energized me for the rest of the week.

It was this week too, a restaurant owner invited me for lunch and said, you're a good man, and when ever you want to relax and eat for free, just come. Come everyday if you want, the owner said - Come and relax and break. For all you're doing, you need it!

It would be remiss of me to not say that my Dare 2 Be Different Team doesn't give me alot of encouragement, motivation and help. They actually keep me going. I must single out Kerese Dias and Joy Codrington. They are the extra fuel in my engine. They go the extra mile to keep me uplifted and to keep my visions coming to fruition.

Those simple things mean a whole lot to Role Models and Positive People. It's sad that many of them do not get the type of support they need though. Don't let another wounded soldier die. Encourage the Positive Ones. Don't just pray for your pastors and leaders and role models, but do something good to show you appreciate them all the time too. They need you in order to SURVIVE. It takes alot from WITHIN to pour out our all to you. You need to help us top back up too.

Send a text, a card, give a visit, bake a cake, send an email, carry them out for breakfast or lunch or dinner. Buy a gift. Or sometimes they just need more than a "How are you doing and a smile?" Sometimes we just want to talk and talk and talk and wait for someone to listen. That helps us detress ALOT. I hope you understand from now, that you have a task too.

It's truly a task being a Role Model. I think I'm going to slow down now. Do more ministry and do lighter things like running my new Caribbean Auction Site - http://www.caribbesales.com/ and use my printing machines more for Ministry Activities. This would help me to not have to stress and cope with deadlines and cursewords. I'll deal with customers that uplift me in the process and simply reject pressuring business. That will help me live a day longer.

When I am overworked and overstressed and then die, this role model that many people enjoyed listening to on radio or enjoyed reading his Hope Devotionals, will be remembered with a few tributes for a little while then it'll be back to normal society again - RIGHT?

Encourage, Empower, Motivate those that serve and make an impact around the world in theicr small and big ways. They help to ensure by their lives, their words and their positive spirits that Hope is Ahead! We need them! Take care of them!

4 Youth Kingdom Ambassadors from The Tiny Caribbean Island of St. Kitts Commit to Impact The World For Christ

Out of the tiny 68 square mile island of St. Kitts in the Caribbean, comes four Small-David-Like youths with a Big-Goliath-Like goal to Impact The World For Christ.

Twenty five (25) year old Khrystus Wallace, twenty two (22) year old Lemercius Wallace, twenty two (22) year old Joy Codrington and twenty four (24) year old Kerese Dias have rallied together their different God-Given skills under Dare 2 Be Different International www.daretobedifferentskn.com to reach out primarily to other youth across the world along with seasoned adults.

The ministry was founded in June 2008 and celebrates it’s fourth (4th) Anniversary in June 2012. The team has felt the call to begin to market it’s ministry to the world, as from it’s 4th Anniversary Month and believes the marketing will open up opportunities for them to travel together at times to make a global impact.

Blessed with different skills, the Quattro is always ready to answer any ministry call as it has been doing for years across St. Kitts - Nevis. President Khrystus Wallace, is a powerpul, enthusiastic, bold, versed minister of the gospel who is blessed with the skill of capturing and keeping the attention span of children, youth and adults. He is a born motivational speaker and has been the featured speaker at graduations and other motivational events. He is also a gifted writer and writes almost daily on the ministry’s Hope is Ahead Devotional at www.hopeisahead.com which has an international readership. Wallace has published 2 books titled God’s Prescription for Positive Living I and II so far, and hopes to publish III, IV, V, VI and VII by September 2012. The ordained minister designs and maintains all of the ministry’s websites. Wallace released a Dramatic Video Sermonette to the world as a New Year's Gift in 2012 titled Don't Give Up - Hope's Ahead. See it below

Lemercius Wallace is a gifted Worship and Music Minister. He plays the keyboard and guitar. His ministry of singing and playing has caused him to be a well sort after youth since he was 15 years old, to play for crusades and other church events, weddings, hotel entertainment and the like. He operates everything to do with Music and Sound with regards to Dare 2 Be Different. God has blessed him with his own mini-studio called R.E.P – Righteous Entertainment Productions (http://www.djmerci.com/) . Lemercius’ studio recorded his brother Khrystus’ debut album titled – Don’t Give Up – Hope’s Ahead. Lemercius serves as back-up technology support to his brother.

Joy Codrington, who joined the ministry soon after it’s inception, is a gifted poet and natural dramatist. She writes poems and dramas to fit into event themes and also for special occasions. She heads up the Dare 2 Be Different Drama Club which will be doing much more productions as time progresses and is always willing to dramatize while the President preaches. Joy “Lady Smilez” Codrington Co-Hosts The Dare 2 Be Different’s Youth Rap Programme on Dominion Radio 91.5FM in St. Kitts every Saturday at 11am EST (www.dominionradioskn.com) with President Khrystus Wallace.

Last but not least, is Kerese Dias. As part founder of the ministry, Dias is a talented dancer. She choreographs dances for Dare 2 Be Different Concerts and events and loves to minister through dance especially at Street Meetings where she believes we impact the most. She loves working with children with regards to teaching dance. Kerese is currently doing the final ground work before launching The Dare 2 Be Different Dance Theatre. She is Finance Director for the ministry.

Lemerce, Joy and Kerese have started their own small businesses having been empowered by a Ministry program called Mission Mobilization - http://www.mmskn.org/, directed by the President. The program seeks to empower youth to use their skills to make life during trying economic times. Lemerce owners http://www.djmerci.com/, Joy owns http://www.tagdownskn.com/ and Kerese owns http://www.kayscorp.com/

Since Dare 2 Be Different’s Inception, it has lived up to one of it’s mandates to reach the world using the technology at hand. Two years ago in 2010, the ministry agreed that the timing was right to carry out a vision of it’s president to establish The Caribbean’s 1st Fully Dedicated Internet Church called The Victory Centre – www.thevictorycentre. The mission of the church was not to have a large live gathering, but rather have a virtual gathering from across the world by advertising with smartphones, social networks and the technology. It has been successful with doing just that and has been reaching the lost and empowering the saved. So far has been it’s reach, that after a request from a minister in Kenya, it was able to establish Dare 2 Be Different Kenya – www.daretobedifferentkenya.com. (The ministry is raising funds, food, clothes and other support to aid in its plan to visit Kenya in 2012 and welcomes any support interested parties may want to provide.)

This article is just a snapshot of what the ministry has been doing over it’s short 4 years in operation.  To write about everything would probably mean the start of writing a book. The everyday use of technology has allowed Dare 2 Be Different to reach a larger spectrum of people that any individual local church in the Federation of St. Kitts & Nevis.

The team’s ultimate aim is to raise funds and pray for partners to build The Dare 2 Be Different International Mission Centre – (more information at: (http://hopeisahead.blogspot.com/2012/05/st-kitts-nevis-may-probably-be-home-to.html  )

The team members, individual or collective, are currently accepting invitations from churches and youth organizations across the world to minister at evangelistic and youth crusades or church empowerment revivals or rallies.

The ministry prefers to minister during the evening at crusade events and spend the day time in the invitee country at schools, hospitals, orphanages and also train pastors, ministry leaders and other interested parties as to how to use the technology to reach the world. (Dare to be Different fully understands cultural differences and church procedures and practices and is prepared to fall in line also)

When the FULL  TEAM travels at times, they HOPE is to have break out sessions in the day where they teach dance, drama, music and poetry to the church youth and culminate with a Mega Concert.

Interestingly enough and probably God-planned,  the team has access to printing machines and come from a marketing and printing back ground which allows them to travel to Crusades and Motivational events with printed t-shirts, mugs, hats, bandanas, pens, pencils, Cds etc with the event’s theme which helps the HOST MINISTRY to raise funds to alleviate the cost of such functions.

St. Kitts has lost a LEGEND - In Loving Memory of Masud Sadiki

The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot. (Proverbs 10:7  KJV)

When I woke up this morning, I scrolled down my cell phone directory to Masud's cell phone number. I almost pressed the dial button then I had to come to come to grips with reality, that Masud had really died - everyone couldn't be lying like that.

As I type, so many fond personal experiences between both of us come back to life. Masud was all about POSITIVITY. I don't look for accolades and commendations for the work that I do at all, but I must note on the record here, that this fine legend was among the HANDFUL of my local community that always cheered me on and encouraged me never to give up.

It's like I remember many of his telephone calls. "KVK - Masud here. How things?" In an all excited, bubbly voice. He would share his idea of what he wanted my printing firm to do or to donate to one of his activities and he would always end. "Bless Up Man. You're doing a Good Ting. Don't Stop!"

We go waaaaaaay back. I remember him selling me stuff from his mother's mini-superette and snackette in Verchilds, St. Kitts, close to the high school I was attending. He had heard so much about my first business that I started, KVK BICHANICS, and always promised that he would support it by telling others to bring their bicycles to me to repair. We were young and ambitious. We spent so much time in short conversations just DREAMING. He went on and said, when your bike shop becomes bigger, I'll let you order a motorbike for me. I left the Biking Business too soon and went into T-shirt printing. Masud was one of the first to order a T-shirt from me even before I had machines. His first shirt was printed using my mother's Hand Iron and some T-shirt Paper I had ordered from EBAY. We had dozens of fun, motivational talks to encourage each other.

I remember vividly when he passed by my homebased print shop at Boyds, St. Kitts, for me to digitize his new PULL PHACTOR ENTERTAINMENT  logo to be embroidered. He was with his wife at my business place. You should have seen the excitement when our embroidery machine was sewing it out and he finally got completed shirts. His wide smile told it all.

He had dreams. Many dreams. As I type, I smile. Before he had reached this far in his career, both of us always talked about where we would want to reach in life. We amazed each other with our ambitious dreams. The POSITIVE  ENERGY  from each of our spirits united us as brothers.

Masud was keenly interested in making an impact on youth, just as Dare 2 Be Different is doing. He was apart of community groups whose aim was to do just that. It was all about bringing out the BEST in the young people and encouraging them to go for their dreams.

I personally know that. One of our last lengthy conversations was while I was overseas. I didn't mind paying the HIGH  ROAMING  RATES to hear about his new idea. It was a great idea indeed and I had endorsed it immediately and promised to lend my support.

My heart is at peace now as I write because I feel good inside to have told him about the importance of Jesus in his life and always encourage him and motivate him and tell him that he can accomplish it all. As I visited his facebook page just last night, I saw dozens and dozens of comments and I wondered if many of those people took the time out to ever tell this fine legend how much of an impact he made on their lives through his words and songs and positive attitude, or if they just kept it to themselves like many of us are guilty of  ALWAYS doing.

He wasn't boasting! He was down to earth and easy to talk to. He was always available and busy with community work. If we NEVER told him, here again, we lost another GOLDEN opportunity to tell people about the GOOD they were doing while they are alive and even TALK  WITH  AND  ENCOURAGE  them if they were having a challenging time.

Look Around! There are many people who are hurting and need just a little bit of time out of our busy schedule. You are around fellow employees, businessmen and women, church members, entertainers, etc. From the outside looking in, it may just be different! We need to begin to show more love and compassion again. It may just make the biggest difference in impacting ONE life.

HOPE  IS  AHEAD once we aim to change how selfishly we live at times. Masud gave so much! What did you give back in return? Your ear? Your time? Your Support? Your Commendations? Your Thank Yous?

Or did you keep quiet and are only talking now?

Proverbs 10:7 is indeed TRUE - The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.

HomoSexuality In The Church - It's Right in The Caribbean Too (My Near Close Encounter)

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Leviticus 18:22 KJV

When the young man told me about his experience. I got angry within. I felt like taking up some chairs and throwing them across the room. I felt like smashing some items around. I was totally, totally appalled but I maintained myself.

Why? You probably ask. Simply because I nearly had a similar encounter with a Minister of The Gospel too. It's just that he or should I say she. . .. .(I don't even know what to say), never got to take control of my mind and subdue me.

When we spoke, the young man told me upfront that he didn't trust me, but would speak to me still. He said from reading my devotionals on http://www.hopeisahead.com/, it seemed like people got encouragement and empowerment when they had a HOPE  SESSION with me, so he wanted to us to talk too.

Having agreed not to tell anyone about his encounter, but share it to help others without mentioning the happenings,, he spoke to me about everything in detail and how worthless he was feeling. I know that it was certainly not going to take one session to help the young man though.

I always like to find some common ground with clients where I can connect. So I like to share my own stories. They are the best when counselling. It wasn't hard to do this at all, as I remembered a near call with homosexuality if I didn't put a stop to it in the earlies. I shared it with the young man and I'm sharing it with you today to let you know just what is happening in little St.Kitts - Nevis too and how we should all be on the lookout.

Very early at mornings, my cell phone would ring. On the other end, it was a particular Minister of The Gospel who claimed that he was just checking up on me. At first, I felt good in my spirit that a man of God was doing his checkups and I was on his list. I actually felt that this was confirmation from God that he was connecting me to a man of God as he knew that I wanted to become more involved in Kingdom Work in the future.

My mind quickly changed sometime after, when the calls continued coming quite frequently and the focused conversations became unwelcoming.

"Goodmorning Brother Khrystus, how are you today? Did you dream about me?"  or

"Goodmorning Brother Khrystus, I just got up early and I was thinking about you?" or

"Goodmorning Brother Khrystus, I was just checking to see if you needed anything." and I will stop there.

I am always happy that I have a good relationship with my mother and can talk to her about ANYTHING. I shared the happenings with her and she quickly warned me about Homosexuality among Church Ministers and how they are very scheming and cunning and how they first aim to control the mind then body and soul with their extra caring attitudes and special gifts. She showed me news articles around the world and warned me.

I was happy mommy warned me about that in the earlies. I was a Christian then, but I'll tell you just what was going through my mind as a young christian. I hope the Commissioner of Police doesn't come looking for me for sharing just what was going through my mind.

But, I thought, "let me take matters into my own hands just to save other youth who are probably falling prey or have fallen prey already." It wasn't a good thought at all, but what else do young people think. I am only learning now how to empower and encourage myself during trying times at 25 years old.

In closing our session, I said, "young man, I totally understand why you don't trust me as a minister. It's quite OK. I think I have an idea just how you feel. I wasn't molested though, so I would never know how that part feels. The fact that you are here talking out, is actually ONE  STEP towards your healing. Dare 2 Be Different will carefully work with you."

I was still ANGRY inside but had a smile on my face outside. I wanted to go and find that minister and deal with him myself. But again, this wasn't the right way to deal with it, God would fight and win that battle. I always wondered, how could he take away the youth's innocence just like that and still preach like nothing ever happened.

With so much fighting here and there about whether it s OK for a man to marry a man and a woman to marry a woman, the word of God still stands. Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Leviticus 18:22 KJV

The Bible is the Ultimate Authority and what it says doesn't change AT  ALL. To have significant world leaders shifting  on what the Bible says shows that we are nearing the end of time and people need to REPENT of their sins and ask Jesus to Save them immedately for Trumpet of God will soon sound.

Friend, if it wasn't a requirement for ministers to be ordained to serve, I would have probably not accepted the certificate. There is a stigma attached to the word Minister and Pastor now-a-days. I honestly don't even like to be called those names. Just call me Brother Khrystus. I am never a supporter of names by the way. We are called to be servants and no where in history pages of the Bible do you see Jesus referring to himself as KING  JESUS  OR  PASTOR  JESUS  or  BISHOP  JESUS or EVANGELIST  JESUS. It was simply and humbly - JESUS  OF  NAZARETH. Am I wrong? Of course, these are my views and I may be possibly bashed for them.

What I've noticed at many HOPE  SESSIONS, is that if I say that I'm a Minister, my clients, youth and adults, get reserved and scared about talking to me and sometimes even being in my presence. Therefore, I have to spend more time calming them and telling them it's ok to express themselves how ever they wish.

When I say, I'm Brother Khrystus, I don't go through that at all. People just talk to me. I believe because they see me on the same level with them with similar issues too. So. . . .you know from now it's OK to call me Brother Khrystus or Khrystus can do.

I asked the gentleman why he waited until now to talk out privately to someone. He said, I couldn't tell anyone close to me because they see the Minister who Raped me as THEIR GOD. I understood him sooooooo well. That's why many of our youths are not talking out. Many people seem to have stopped worshipping JESUS, but are now worshipping THEIR  MINISTERS. I sometimes think very soon we may see another Jim Jones happening because there are churches out there and there are CULTS too

The gentleman further stated, "if I chose to go public, society will bash me and call me all sorts of names instead of crucifying who really should be crucified. So let's keep it between me and you. I have faith that you can help me through this."

I shook my head, feeling all powerless, because this is the very same thing other clients who have gone through similar cases always say to me. Boys and Girls Alike. Abused by Ministers of the Gospel, Family Members, Teachers, Employers etc. They feel like there is never Hope For Them if they go public because society will condemn them and NOT  THE  ACCUSED.

Friend. . . I say my favorite three words as I end this Hope Devotional, not with so much enthusiasm as I always end with. There is HOPE  AHEAD once church members and employees and parents and guardians keep their eyes OPEN to the possibility of RAPE and HOMOSEXUALITY in the church, workplace, home and school.

There will be even more HOPE if YOUTH who've been HURT begin to speak out and Adults who are bold enough and grown enough now, who care about the Future of Young People, come out of the closet to help stop the happenings of RAPE and HOMOSEXUALITY by prominent men and women in society.

When you call me on the street or invite me to your church to preach, don't call me Pastor or Minister. . . . I'm simply Brother Khrystus. I'll be honest, God is still in the process of emptying out the anger that lies within and when I have to help with such cases during Hope Sessions, my anger level climbs the thermometer again.

Don't Give Up - God doesn't sleep or slumber. In his time. This right time. He will take care of the sexual predators and the issues that are happening in our Caribbean Community already.
