Politics: My View: We Don't Need A Government To Turn Things Around

But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? ( 1 John 3:17  KJV)

When I was younger, I was totally excited about running for elections. I wanted to have the YOUTH  PORTFOLIO when I was elected. I wanted to show that Big Things Can Still Happen with a small budget and then force Parliament to increase the funds allocated to the youth department yearly so the Youth Director could do more.

I later got involved in church work and started searching through history pages to find out the end result of Christians or Religious people around the world who entered politics. Look at the sudden shift of President Obama's views on gays simply to win over a certain type of voters at the November 2012 elections. You call that compromise. Mr. President, for the record - Many Christians across the world DO NOT  SUPPORT  YOUR  SHIFT  ON  YOUR  GAYS and GAY MARRIAGE. God's Word Still Stands!

So, unless God sends an angel down, as he did with Mary, my name would NEVER be on a ballot. I prefer to continue what I'm doing - spreading the message of hope, empowerment and salvation all across the world using technology and visiting ministries and preaching. I am totally surprised with how God has made that happen in four short years.

Everywhere I turned this week to get some t-shirt printing business  or deliver a package to a customer from my courier business, I heard there was going to be some type of march today in St. Kitts.

I will be clear here. I don't like marches and I seldom participate in them. Even gospel related marches. I don't call in on secular talk show programs because after wasting an hour or an hour and a half, it's back to normal again. Politics will always be Politics no matter which government is in power across the world.

I am an ACTION  PERSON. If something isn't going to bring immediate change or change very soon, it's a COMPLETE  WASTE  OF  TIME. These are my own personal views. Look - Let's See - Let's see if there will be a change on the issue people will march about today - Let's see! Then kindly respond to my email with the change enacted after the march.

When God created each of us, he gave us all something called WISDOM and placed in us HEARTS  OF  COMPASSION. Across the world, many people are not using wisdom and many of us are guilty of closing up our bowels of compassion.

We Do Not Need A Government To Turn Things Around. If we work together as God's People and Use our God Given Wisdom, we will shove recession out of our countries and states and world and we will begin to see a decrease in National Debt and a surplus in our treasuries again.

It just takes a bit of working together and an opening of our bowels of compassion. The world is like this because we have grown too greedy and selfish and non caring.

* Let's stop talking and crying about Electricity Rates and make a ONE  TIME investment in solar panels and small windmill turbines to power our own houses. Even if government charges a tax, it will still be cheaper than what we are paying now. I am not just talking. About six months ago, a client asked me to source an 8 foot windmill and import it for him. A few weeks ago, I called him to see whether it was really powering his house and it was. Imagine if 40% or more of our society does that, The Electricity Company would have a surplus, then possibly reduce their rates, just to beg consumers to use their services. That's an ACTION   PLAN!

* We cry out for the cost of local food at our supermarkets and complain about VAT. If we use our God Given Wisdom, we'll go around that. Through my USA company, www.thesupplyshopinc.com, I became a registered member of several wholesale food chains in the USA. If you think retail food is cheap in the USA, check the wholesale prices. So, when I buy locally, it burns my heart, because I know, even after paying due taxes, our grocers can do better. Yes they are killing the poor. So, it's simple, here's what to do. Order your food online or shop overseas and ship it back. Remember, you pay no duties on 100 lbs of food and trust me, you'll have a surplus and possibly more money in your pockets. Stop buying vegetables in the supermarkets. Buy from the farmers and put money in their pockets so they can feed their families. When grocers see our new move, they will possibly have compassion and lower prices. It hurts my heart when I see mothers buying pampers locally, when I buy a case of 222 Huggies pampers for US$38 + shipping and 20% customs charges.

* We complain about bankers. If we cut away the selfishness and develop in our minds to HELP each other, we will make it. and seeth his brother have need, ( 1 John 3:17  KJV). Honestly, our Credit Unions are acting like Banks Now - Non Caring. Just Imagine - If 30,000 of the 50,000+ people we have in our little St. Kitts-Nevis agree to add $5 monthly to a fund for 1 year, we would have saved over 1.7Million dollars. We elect a board and start a small cooperative that gives us 1% - 2% loans, imagine the difference. I believe less people would be delinquent when they see this body is about helping NOT  PROFITING. More businesses will start. More people will have money in their pockets from small loans. That's an ACTION   PLAN!

I can go on and on with my views which I know, if put in place would help to make a big difference not only in our Federation of St. Kitts - Nevis, but also across the world. In my little St. Kitts-Nevis, I see new churches seem to be opening faster than rain drops now. Churches NEED  TO  ACT  TOO! We are placed on earth to help make an impact. If we stop crying about EMPLOYMENT for our young people, and encourage each of our churches to INVEST into the lives of at least TWO young people per year to start a small business, this will start injecting money back into worldwide economies and will help get them working again. Imagine if we had 10,000 churches worldwide (and I know it is more). That would mean that we would have 20,000 new businesses each year. Once we teach them and guide them well, the businesses would never fail because they are being guided well by other talented business church folks. That's an ACTION   PLAN!

I would stop here.

I have my views on health care and law enforcement and education and church etc. I say this though with no water in my mouth. I firmly believe that many governments and NGOs select and pay the wrong advisors who advise wrongly. Many of these advisers DO  NOT  care about people. They care about their own well being.

Let's work together from TODAY! Let's hold those who are not listening to our views - HOSTAGE. Buy among ourselves. Sell among our selves. Eat food from our farms. Order our food and vehicles. Use renewable energy. When they start listening, then we may give them a chance.

We don't need a government to turn things around. Let's abide by Scripture. But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? ( 1 John 3:17  KJV)

I know, like you know, that my views here will never be taken into consideration because it's just like marching or talking on radio. Those who should listen - DON'T. What I do know though, is that I will do my little, until God sends my surplus and make my impact where I can.

Pray for my wisdom, for when God gives me more of it, and sends along my surplus, I guarantee that things will change around here. Dare 2 Be Different would definitely be looking out for you and live up to our INTERNATIONAL  MANDATE to impact.

HOPE  IS  AHEAD!

God Loves Messed Up People

For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly. (John 4:18  KJV)

God loves sinners but HATES sin. He has a special interest in MESSED  UP  PEOPLE!

When I sat with the client and allowed them to talk, the person was all broken up inside. Quite a challenging, difficult, messed up past I thought, full of bad choices. The client explained to me that everyone with whom they spoke offered a negative word and brought more discouragement to them. The person, sitting about five feet away from me, who was talking all throughout the HOPE  SESSION with their head bowed, finally looked up and asked, "Brother Wallace, Is There Any Hope For Me?"

The word HOPE hit my back bone. You know that is one of my favorite words. I quickly responded with a smile and said, "YES  THERE  IS  ALWAYS  HOPE!"

You see friend, once there is life there is HOPE. God's individual package for us, is ALWAYS filled with grace and mercy. When we make mistakes, whether simple or serious mistakes, society has a way to make us feel like that is the end of the world. People gather in small circles to discuss our issues. They take up their phones to lam blast us. Some of them willfully laugh and make commenets in front of our faces and do all in their power to keep us down. You know what I'm talking about. If it were for society, when people fall, they would never rise again.

Note Well: Some of them who are doing all of that to you, are smiling and hugging you and keeping a good chat with you when they see you. You call that type - WOLF  IN  SHEEP'S CLOTHING. Be careful - If you ask me, from my experience, THEY  ARE  EVERYWHERE!

That's why I always encourage people to establish a relationship with JESUS in the earlies. He is the TRUEST  FRIEND and SUPPORT that there is and that there ever will be. He Loves Messed Up People.

I am a firm believer in HOPE  FOR  ALL. I don't care what you've been through in life or what you have done. God is a gracious and merciful God. He remembered the thief on the cross - Luke 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

He remembered the sick - John 5:8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

He remembered those in debt - 2 Kings 4:7 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.

And we can go on and on. The point I am trying to get across here friend, is this. No matter your state, Jesus can make the difference! In an interesting turn of events in John 4, we see Jesus meets up with a prostitute, or who many people call a whore. He identifies the issue in her life. For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly. (John 4:18  KJV)

If Jesus were like man, he would have called Peter and James and John on his cell phone and said, "Ayeee......I see a prostitute in town, she's by the well, Stay far!" He didn't do that, he didn't care about the situation. Jesus wanted to make a difference. He offers her a new life - living water. John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Friend, this week, I've been dealing with several cases where society, church members, neighbours, co-workers, even ministers of the gospel have been making people feel worthless. What they have been saying and doing has been discouraging people from living on and sometimes even going back to church.

One client told me - Brother Khrystus, I'll never go back to church. I understood them. I understood them well. If I were them, I'd probably not put my foot back in that particular church too. I didn't deal with that issue while dealing with another. That's another appointment all by itself to help get that person into a proper church that CARES.

We need to control our tongues and open up our BOWELS  of  COMPASSION and help, minister and encourage hurting and distressed folks. 1 John 3:17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

If it were us, we would want mercy too - RIGHT? Friend, if you are going through a challenging time in your life - DON'T  GIVE  UP! KEEP  TRUSTING  IN  GOD!

Remember this - Daniel wasn't always in the lion's den. The Shunamite Woman wasn't always without money. Joseph wasn't always in prison. The Woman at The Well - The Prostitute - The Whore - got delivered. Rahab the harlot was also delivered. Jonah received mercy after he had run away. Peter was forgiven after lying and God still used him to preach one sermon and lead thousands to Christ. Paul has a past of persecuting Christians and God forgave him and used him to lead and guide so many into a relationship with him.

I hope you see where I am going. God loves messed up people and is longing to use them still. Simply REPENT and ask God to forgive you or restore your relationship with him and watch God make the difference in your life.

Don't worry - all those who have something negative to say about you, will live to eat their words. You are not worst than ANYONE  ELSE. Many of those who condemn you, have their secret sins that have not been exposed as yet. Once you accept Jesus, walk with your head up high and a big smile on your face even in your distress. Be very careful who you tell your business and situation too. Ask God for a spirit of discernment. Your badmouthers will need you when things turn around. THEY  WILL  NEED  YOU! Sooner or later!

There is Hope Ahead For You! When no one else seems to care - JESUS  DOES! You will make it pass this hurdle. You will triumph over your woes and you won't have to raise a muscle - God will fight your battle and WIN!

Hope is AHEAD!

Let's Take Care of Ourselves

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?  (1 Corinthians 6:19  KJV)

Have you ever noticed that many times, mechanics drive the worst cars? Tailors and Seamstresses don't wear the best clothes? T-shirt printers like myself, many times are always caught wearing other people's prints and designs? Many chefs claim that they don't eat their nice delicacies? We can go on and on.

We must always remember to take care of ourselves!

I'm a bit ashamed to say this. A few weeks back, I paused from my work and as I sat and thought, my eyes went down into the garbage bin close to my desk. I opened my eyes and became instantly surprised. I saw five Festival sweet biscuit wrappers, two Tosh biscuit wrappers, a kit kat bar wrapper and I was eating another snack as I looked and was also drinking a soda. Nothing of nutritional value was being added to my body.

Don't bash me now, many of you are just like me or even worst. Did you prepare a nice home cooked breakfast or lunch for today? Did you rush out and pick up something quick by the bakery or vendor by the side of the road? I wonder what percentage of my worldwide audience would answer YES - I DID THAT. You've probably bowed your head with hopes that your office colleague who reads our Hope Devotionals doesn't come over and start teasing you - right?

Are you planning on going down by the Fast Food Restaurant that deep fries their chicken and fries? Are you planning on stopping by the lady or gentleman by the side of the road again when you honestly don't know about all the extra things they add to your food when the doctor told you not to use them?

Many of us are guilty as charged. I am certainly not a dietitian or nutritionist. Many of us are not. One thing I know is that we all know when we are not eating right. That explains my belly that seems to be growing and growing and growing. . . . .and growing. I can take a hair cut quite often, but to take a belly shave is very hard to do when the pounds are on.

It's my choice or your choice to take care of our bodies - our temples. Oft times I see us ensuring that the church building is clean and well prepared for service. So too, we must ensure that our soul is emptied out of every sinful thought and deed by repenting of our sins and asking God forgiveness, and that our bodies are well taken care of to do the Lord's work.

Friend. . . .All hope is not lost. I have to cut back on the festival biscuits and sodas and deep fried chicken and fries etc. I have to drink some more water and eat some more fruits and exercise. I have to stop buying so much at the restaurant and spend a few minutes preparing my extra snacks and meals. Well. . . .I'm still fortunate to have mom's home cooked means daily.

You should join me in TRYING to take care of yourself. It would really be a sad thing to die while preaching a sermon or fall out of this chair while penning one of these Hope Devotionals and have the autopsy report say that too much fat was around my heart, so I suffered from a Heart Attack.

I know God would let me into heaven because I'm saved, but I wonder what he would be pleased since  I failed to take care of myself.

I know employers or leaders won't want me to say this, but from the minute you are hospitalized or on sick leave for too long, many superiors already start looking for your replacement. If you die today, they start interviewing for your position tomorrow. They will attend your funeral and buy a wreath for your grave, but live goes on without you from the minute the service ends. All people will have of you is a faint memory now and again. So, slow down, take time to take care of yourself. Let's Treat Our Temples RIGHT from TODAY!

Let's take care of ourselves! HOPE  IS  AHEAD!

Top Class Service (Inspired by Rumours Bar - Newcastle - Nevis)

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. (Isaiah 6:8  KJV)

We should always give TOP  CLASS  SERVICE when it comes to The Master's Work!

Last weekend, a US Based Dare 2 Be Different Ministry supporter who has become a good friend since following our ministry online at www.daretobedifferentskn.com  and http://www.hopeisahead.com/, flew into Nevis - West Indies. The sister island to St. Kitts. The gentleman was a bit hungry after his flight, and since I don't know that much about Nevis and Eating, I was happy when we were recommended to visit Rumours Bar in Newcastle, Nevis.

I had already eaten before I came from St. Kitts to Nevis, so I wasn't that hungry. I ordered a simple bowl of our local delicacy - Goatwater. Our ministry friend ordered a chicken dinner with some extras here and there.

While waiting, talking and joking now and again, a strange man showed up at our table and greeted us. We later learned it was the manager himself, giving us a warm welcome and thanking us for choosing his Bar. I was honestly, honestly, honestly proud of my Native Land. The gentleman felt taken-back and appreciated. He was WOWED!

Over my 25 years of living, I only saw that happen about two times. Once while at a restaurant in Brazil and the other in the USA. Rumours Bar was giving international service! CHEERS!

The waitress served us some beverages while we waited for the meals and kept coming back to see if we were ok. I was shocked when an offer was thrown out to charge our phones. God knew my battery was RED and so I quickly handed it over. I was WOWED again!

Even before we received the meals, I heard our ministry friend say, "The service is good!" It was actually the first time he was visiting any other Caribbean Island other than Grenada. When we received our dinner, the evening continued on quite well. The talk was great, the idea sharing and ministry recommendations he gave were quite acceptable. While we ate, the conversation was constantly interrupted with these words, "Maaaan - This stuff is great! The food is nice." Not exaggerating, I actually started counting how many times he interjected with that statement. I also wished I had ordered a chicken dinner just to see what was so great about the meal.

He then said, "Please excuse me." He put down his folk and knife and held the chicken leg in his hand and properly processed it with his teeth. Again - "Maaaan - This stuff is great! The food is nice." He looked around and said, "What's the name of this place? I'm definitely coming back to Nevis and I'm bringing my wife."

I was proud that we were recommended to try RUMOURS BAR in NEVIS. You see friend, I only had less than 24 hours to make an impact and impression of our twin island Federation and show that our people here are well prepared to CARE for and minister through our Dare 2 Be Different International Mission Centre.

Rumours Bar was the first contact point and the TOP  CLASS  SERVICE  given there set the tone for our friend's visit. I was proud of this Small Business!

By the time we were wrapping up of visit some hours after, the gentleman started asking me some questions that didn't pertain to ministry anymore.

"What does it cost approximately to build a simple home here in Nevis?"
"How can I get some land?"
"Do they let foreigners come in to dwell?"
"I wonder if it'll be OK to tell a few of my friends about this place so they can build too"

You see friend, it's not only the Government's Tourism website and paid advertisers market our little St. Kitts & Nevis. The TOP  CLASS  SERVICE that we should ALWAYS give helps to do it too.

Cheers to Rumours Bar!

Friend, many times we gie TOP  CLASS  SERVICE on our jobs, at our homes and else where. Think about this question seriously? Do You Give Top Class Service when it comes to God's Work? Are you positive of that? Can Jesus ask you to work on his field and will your response be like that in Isaiah. Here am I; send me. (Isaiah 6:8  KJV)

How are you actively helping to spread the message of hope, salvation and encouragement?

When last have you taken some time out of your busy schedule to visit a sick and shut-in or an elderly home or the hospital?

When last have you told somebody about Jesus? Or talked about how he can make a difference in their life on facebook or twitter or through a BlackBerry Message?

When last have you even cared? Fed the hungry? Clothe the homeless? Give an encouraging word to someone who is hurting? We are all talented in different ways and the choice is ours as to how we make our IMPACT and GIVE  TOP  CLASS  SERVICE using our GOD-GIVEN gifts and abilities..

Please Do Something - Please join Dare 2 Be Different by making an impact. God Requires of Us - TOP  CLASS  SERVICE!

So. . . .if you are going to rush a visit to the hospital. Don't Go! If you are not going to share out a meal while you're sharing out for your family, don't give anyone the left overs! When someone shares their heart and problems with you, if you know that all you'll do it take their business to the streets and 'play' like you're with them - don't let ANYONE  talk to you about such matters.

Just do good! Matthew 25:45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

Show that there is HOPE  AHEAD - GIVE  TOP  CLASS  SERVICE!

Be On The Look Out (Someone Sent Me Proof of a group negatively blasting me - Listen/Read)

Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams. (Genesis 37:20 KJV)

C'mon - you don't expect me to post the clip here now - do you?

Nothing really shocks me or surprises me that much about technology anymore. You really don't have to tell me how good or bad it can be. I'm a tech-fanatic. I read and research on nearly every possible way of using this tool to market, communicate, dessiminate information and stay connected. I'm a marketing lunatic - I really didn't get it from studying Marketing - I tell people it's God-Given.

From the Blackberry to the Iphone and other types of smartphones. From Facebook to Twitter and other social networks. From the Ipad to the Playbook and we can go on and on. We can use them all to either buildup or pull down. Freedom of speech right?

Quite recently, I listened quite intently to a voice note that was sent to me. It was quite interesting. It was quite a lengthy conversation between a group that was spending their precious time talking about my endeavours and trying - TRYING to tear my name apart. They could have been occupied helping or building up - RIGHT?

The interesting part about it, is that because we always say a good hello and relate at times, I honestly didn't expect it. I smiled and uttered one of my favorite phrases - "People eh."

To this date, I don't feel anyway and do not hold it against them or anyone. This wasn't my first experience. I've had people send me type-written conversations and other voice notes to prove to me how bad persons who claim they are my friends or associates or christian brothers and sisters are talking about me. Sometimes my phone rings and I quickly notice that I'm the third person in the conversation. It's usually someone giving me some proof of the realities of life - the proof that those who we think are for us, are sometimes really - totally against us.

At 25 years old, I know of many personal cases. So many that I've had to quickly learn how to always forgive. If I hold those stresses in my heart, I'll turn grey and bald much quicker. I am oft times encouraged to approach the people and "TELL  THEM  WHAT  I  HAVE  TO  SAY." Personally, since I don't keep it on my chest, I don't. I smile with them still. I say hello with them still. I process their orders and send quotations still. I greet them well at church still. I do my good to them still. SO  SHOULD  YOU!

When they can't take it, they'll stop talking to you for no apparent reason and expose themselves. Try it and see. When you know people are saying bad about you, treat them even BETTER. Heap up the coals on their heads. Romans 12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

While I do my GOOD. . . . .I'm always on the LOOK  OUT - I  ALWAYS  BRACE  MYSELF - So Should You!

The Bible already says in James 3:8, But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. Since that is what it says, we shouldn't be shocked when people are talking negative things about us. We should just learn how to deal with them respectfully still and be on the lookout.

People who say bad things and think bad things about you have a strong enough MINDSET to kill you. BE  VERY  CAREFUL  WITH  WHO  YOU  TRUST  WHOLEHEARTEDLY! Sometimes it's best to be very quiet with your dreams too. . . . Do you remember Joseph's case in Genesis 37:20?

After my recent reminder experience again, I may just have to change my style of writing these HOPE  DEVOTIONALS and not include too many of my dreams before I end up like Joseph. Friend, I've chosen to travel this route tonight, as I write, because I don't want you to end up HURT.

Best Friends can become your worst enemies. Good bosses can suddenly turn bad on you. Jealousy and Envy Ruins Relationships.

Some people are for you. Some people hate every bone in your body and every piece of matter in your intestines. Note Well: They will smile with you still and 'PLAY' like they are for you. Be very careful!  The Bible warns and teaches in Matthew 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

Be wise - keep your eyes opened - Be on The Lookout! Remember it was Joseph's BROTHERS I say - JOSEPH'S  BROTHERS who said - let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams. (Genesis 37:20 KJV)

HIS  BROTHERS! What makes you feel like your neighbour, or work colleague or supervisor or manager or schoolmate or pastor likes your guts? What makes you think that, sometimes your VERY  FAMILY are for you?

The Bible warns us that the enemy is constantly doing all in his power to destroy, so we must be on the lookout. 1 Peter 5:8 ¶ Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

Let's be very - very - very careful with our tongues and with technology. Ensure that what you say behind someone's back, you are able to say infront their face. Let's work to build up - not pull down. Let's use the technology to promote not create disunity.

Dare 2 Be Different Int'l begs of you. I honestly know it will take time to create a positive, optimistic society that cares. Thus, while you live - Be on the Look Out!

I still believe that - HOPE  IS  AHEAD.

Don't ever sit around and listen to people talk badly about someone when you know differently. If you do not say anything, you are just like them! Sometimes it takes just ONE PERSON to speak out. It may not be the POPULAR thing to do, but IT  IS  THE  RIGHT  THING  TO  DO, even if you stand alone!
