You Are Well Able To Overcome

You will OVERCOME!

Friend, I am overly excited as I pen this Hope Devotional this morning. I really don't know why, but I feel something miraculous is just around the corner for both you and I. Just Stay Positive and Optimistic!

From the very onset, I want you to know that we all have our individual and collective issues. YES - ALL  OF  US. These issues range from family to health, to marriage to financial, to stress to anger management to work and we can go on and on and on.

A relationship with GOD and his son Jesus Christ can make the biggest difference. A personal relationship with GOD and not with RELIGION. Religion, many times is too divisive with each sect believing something DIFFERENT.

You see, when you are going through your trying circumstances, having a friend, a father, a Jehovah Alpha and Rapha and Nissi listening and working for you should give you a sense of calm. A deep sense of PEACE. Please do what is recommended in 1st Peter 5:8 - Cast Your Cares Upon Jesus!

I know, you, like me, would have made some bad mistakes and decisions in life before, and you, like me, work and wait for our deliverance. Let's do it patiently! Remember Peter made a mistake and lied? Jesus forgave him and still used him in a mighty way. Remember David sinned sexually and even though he cried for God to save his child, God still punished him, yet forgave him and used him mightily?

These were great men of God who had slipped up, fell, but got back up again and kept on going because they kept their faith in God HIGH! You too will OVERCOME!

Again, let me remind you. YOU  ARE  NOT  WORST  THAN  ANY  ONE  ELSE! Some of those who are playing like they are better than you and bigger than you, made your mistake already. I never understand why they play all so HOLY and PERFECT. Some of those that are wishing that you never OVERCOME, are in a much deeper hole than you are in. NEVER  STOP  RUNNING! YOU  WILL  MAKE  IT!  YOU  WILL  OVERCOME!

Friend, I don't know your issue, but there is something that I want you to do now. Please pause NOW - RIGHT NOW, bow your head, go in the bathroom or bedroom, somewhere quiet, get on your knees and talk to God. Tell him your problems, your issues, say sorry for all the sinful things that you have done and mean it from the bottom of your heart. While praying, that is a nice time to turn your life over to Jesus Christ and get saved, or fall back in fellowship with Him.

Others are saying that you CANNOT  OVERCOME. That's OK! Ten (10) spies came back with a bad report, but a brave TWO - ONLY TWO came back with a POSITIVE REPORT - that the Children of Israel can OVERCOME. Like them, WE WE  MUST  MOVE  FORWARD  AT  ONCE. IN FAITH! AND MARCH AROUND OURS WALLS OF JERICHO USING EFFECTUAL  FERVANT  PRAYER NONSTOP 7 TIMES  DAILY  FOR 7 DAYS.

I feel deep within my spirit, that those - ONLY  THOSE who are obedient to this direct instruction that God has asked me to pass on to you, will begin to experience SUPERNATURAL  DELIVERANCE  AND  BREAKTHROUGH  SOON  AFTER  THAT  7  DAYS.

Go after ALL  YOUR  DREAMS! Even if it's tough, DON'T  STOP! DON'T  GIVE  UP!

Can't you hear the angels cheering you on? Keep on Running! Keep on Going! Keep on Pushing! You are Well ABLE to OVERCOME.

Hard Work Will Pay Off

Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. ( Proverbs 22:29 KJV)

Continue to be diligent - you shall reap your rewards!

I heard the shout of my name from the other side of the road. I looked around and there was a mother crossing the road to approach me with a glow on her face. Having reached close enough and smiling, she said, "He's doing his degree now you know. He's studying something to do with computers." I instantly and immediately became overly joyous and proud.

You see friend, this mother brought her son to me shortly after I delivered my Valedictorian Speech from the halls of The Verchild's High School. She said, "I want you to be the example for my son. Your speech was great and he needs to start listening to someone or he'll be kicked out of school after fourth form or grade 10. I hope you can work with him and help him because he needs lots and lots of help."

I was sixteen at the time. I was just out of high school and I had agreed to work with the chap. After a few sessions, I wondered what I had gotten my self into. The young man could barely read, he had poor mathematical and comprehension skills, all his grades looked terrible. In my head, I said, only a miracle could change things.

Nevertheless - I worked and worked and worked with him. I was persistent and I forced him to be persistent too. I constantly reminded him that if he didn't work hard, he would have to leave school at the end of fourth form and he won't reach very far without qualifications.

After fourth form promotion exams, the chap did indeed make it to fifth form. Here now, the hard work had to continue. It was some late nights and long days, ensuring he completed his school based assessments and studied his work. He was a much better reader now, he was actually a star at Mathematics and he was slowly but surely grabbing hold of his other subjects thanks to The Dare 2 Be Different International Academy - www.daretobedifferentacademy.com (Previously known as The KVK Learning Institute). As I am a computer freak, he too became one. This made him a star in Information Technology.

When exam time came, I was a bit anxious. I really wanted the young man to do well. Not just well, REAL  WELL. 

I gave him his last words of encouragement and guidance. I said, "You know _____, over the last two years I've worked with you, I see that you have what it takes to shine in these exams and to reach far. I won't be with you in the room, but God will be right there. Before you take each one of those tests, before you even take up the paper, stop and pray and ask God to help you to remember just what you would have practiced and studied and he will help you."

He did as recommended and I couldn't wait for results to be announced. When they were finally announced, he passed SEVEN general subjects with a distinction in Computer (Information Technology). This was a child that the St. Kitts - Nevis SCHOOL  SYSTEM had earmarked to be thrown out of school when his mother approached me for HELP  FOR  HER  SON.  I was so happy, I could have back flipped several times and danced like David.

So, today, over TEN years after I graduated from High School, I am very happy to hear that he is completing his Bachelors Degree and is the I.T supervisor at a job he holds while he studies.

I am a firm believer in giving people a CHANCE. We all need chances in life. It is a fact that all students are not academically inclined, thus there is an URGENT  NEED  to put in place a working Vocational and Skills training programme for our youth.

Heading To The Championship

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. ( Philippians 3:14 KJV)

Set your mind on the prize and go for the GOAL!

Pastor Clive Saunders, shepherd of the flock of which I was once apart, was dressed out of the ordinary during yesterday's Sunday Morning Worship Service. Typically, as Ministers of the Gospel, you would usually see us nicely attired in shirt and tie or full suits. The senior pastor came to church in basketball team clothing as seen below and had basketballs and jerseys all across the sanctuary. We would later find out that he wanted us to get a particular message.

 

I got it. The children got it. We got the message and I had to share it with you. As he preached, he reminded his audience and constantly postulated that Jesus is the ONLY way to the grand prize - HEAVEN. We were reminded of  what John 14:6 says, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

He used several analogies of current and past teams who were determined to get the grand prize at the end of the tournaments in basketball or football. "They ensured that they remained focused," he said, "they ensured that they played well and played as a team."

What I liked a lot about this particular sermon, is that Pastor Saunders consistently reminded his listeners to never let obstacles, barriers and naysayers prevent them from reaching the championship - getting the grand prize.

I needed that word right then and there and it was another reminder for me and for you to NOT  GIVE  UP because the CHAMPIONSHIP is ahead. Hope is Ahead. I left smiling and ready to face my week after expressing to him my gratitude for sharing what the Lord had laid on his heart.

Friend, I am going to the CHAMPIONSHIP. Even though things may be rough and tough for me and you at this point in time, let our eyes be on the PRIZE. Even though there may be others trying to keep us back from going. Let's be prepared to climb over the obstacles and not stop till we reach the prize. We must be prepared to fight the fight until the end. Don't Give Up!

May I suggest that I believe there is a mini prize here on earth and there is the grand prize of getting to enter HEAVEN.

On earth, that prize is success and prosperity in every area that God approves. 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

The second prize is the fact that once you accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour of your life, you will get into heaven. Several parts throughout the Bible and especially in Revelation, we get a true picture of what it'll be like over yonder. No pain or hurt, no tears, everything will be perfect there. Above all of this, the Jesus that we've trusted throughout our lives will be there.

Friend, it's no time to give up now. As Paul suggests in Philippians 3:14, "Press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."

Let's head to the championship TOGETHER. Don't be selfish and leave anyone behind. Spread the good news of how JESUS can make the difference in people's lives. There is a better life ahead. Keep going! Keep going! Hope's Ahead!

Just Reflect On God's Goodness

O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. 2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD. (Psalm 117:1-2 KJV)

When last have you just paused, stopped complaining and just thought about God's Goodness?

During a conversation last night with an acquaintance on Facebook, I got thinking. I had asked the young lady what she was up to and her response was startling. She said, "I'm just here chilling and thinking about how good God has been to me."

Honestly, you really don't get much talk about God from young people whether online or offline. I commended her immediately. You see, each day we awake, we have a choice to make. We can either worry and stress about yesterday's happenings and the storms we have to face today or we can just relax and reflect on how good God has been to us over the past days, weeks, months, years.

While laying on my bed this morning, I was trying to figure out how I would deal with a particular matter today. Honestly, I started stressing a bit. My mind went back to many other challenges that I had previously and how God answered my prayer and helped EVERY TIME.

I immediately carried the matter to God's throne and did what he asks us all to do in 1st Peter 5:8, "Cast our cares on him." That is exactly what I encourage you to do today. Put every burden, every trial, every issue, every fear, every circumstance on Jesus today and leave them there.

God's merciful kindness has brought each of us to where we are today and will take us onwards too. God's truth and word never change. God gives us many promises. Here is one in Hebrews 13: 5 I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

So, don't choose to stress and worry today. Instead, lift up your hands, heart and voice and just praise the Lord. Sing aloud. You can dance too. Nothing is wrong with rejoicing and praising God in the midst of your deepest trial. Paul and Silas did that and God came through for them. Their situation changed IMMEDIATELY. God still can provide instant, immediate and miraculous deliverances. Don't give up. Keep praising and trusting. Remember,  O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. (Psalm 117:1 KJV)

Hope is Ahead.

Miracles Are For Real

I woke this morning with a strong urge to remind my worldwide audience that Miracles Still Happen.

Miracles are real! God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Prayer, faith and obedience brings miracles into being. Today, I want you to join with our Dare 2 Be Different Team and pray for a miracle for someone. Please cover at least twelve people in prayer. I don't think that is too much. Call their names. Ask God to send them the miracle they need immediately. Only do this if you believe God is still a deliverer. Let's get the entire world praying. (That's what I sent out to dozens of Smartphone Contacts and That's what was posted on my Facebook Wall Today)

I love the entire Bible. The stories that particularly interest me though are those that relate to God's miraculous healing power. I do believe this is because I have a deep love for science and medicine. I read them over and over and over again. I always mention them while I speak or preach to encourage folks not to give up, God can change situations.

There are countless of Bible stories with to which we can relate. Miracles still happen today too. I remember preaching a Victory Healing Service at a Church of God some years back. At the altar call, several people stepped forward. I remember quite vividly, a lady who particularly stopped the service and asked desperately for prayer because she was about to have a surgery to remove cataract from the eye the following Tuesday. I prayed - the church prayed. It wasn't until months after when I saw the lady again, she said, "Pastor, do you know when the doctors did their tests before preparing me for the surgery, they said they couldn't proceed because they couldn't find anything to cut?" I was dumbfounded. I was amazed. She said your Victory Healing Service brought me my miracle.

Miracles always amaze us. Time wouldn't permit me to share on the countless other miracles that I've seen take place during my years of ministry, but I must share with you ONE  PERSONAL  MIRACLE that means so much to me. This miracle keeps my faith HIGH, even when I am tempted to feel low, down and discouraged.

Having attended my fifth form medical examination before leaving school, I was recommended by the clinic doctor to go to an Orthopedic Surgeon for a second opinion with my mother. Having done tests and x-rays, we were informed that I had severe scoliosis and needed URGENT  MEDICAL  ATTENTION. The doctor informed that it was better we seek medical help overseas because the treatment that I needed wasn't being provided locally. (I still have the Doctor's recommendation letter today right in my KVK ENERPRISES - www.kvklives.com office.)

He stated that the curve in my spine was so severe that if I didn't receive help before age twenty one, I would have severe breathing problems because the curve was causing pressure on my lungs. He also stated that I would walk with a severe noticeable twist for the rest of my life.

My mom got busy making arrangements and strangely enough at fifteen years, I got busy praying. I wanted one of those miracles I'd seen God do in the Bible and heard preachers preach about.

A USA Based Shriners Hospital for children explained to us  the two available options to help. I had the option of wearing a back brace which would not stop the curve, but just prevent it from getting any worst. The second option was to have surgery, which would insert a metal rod in my back for life, but this was a fifty-fifty chance, we were clearly told because of the complexity of this surgery.

Time won't permit me to go on explaining in detail. What I can say though, is that I am now twenty nine (29) years old. My mother kept pushing me to consider further help in my teens years, but I was adamant that God would have healed me and I wasn't going. If you know me, you will see that I run up and down with the youths at Dare 2 Be Different events without a breathing problem. Next time you see me, if you ever get to, or search one of my pictures online, you'll see that I am not severely twisted as the doctors would have said. I don't wear a back brace and I never went for surgery.

MIRACLES  ARE  FOR REAL!

You may not need a healing miracle today. It may be job wise, financial wise, family wise. What ever it may be, know for sure that God is still in the miracle working business. Pray and keep your faith high and pray some more. God answers just at the appropriate time. He didn't bring my miracle into place in a day or week or a month. He took time to process it. Keep your faith high - If you want your miracle and ask God for it - He'll send it! 

Matthew 9:29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

Hope is ahead - Don't Give Up - Don't Give in!
