Every Big Fire Starts As A Little Thing

33 And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth. 34 And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: (1 Samuel 17:33-34 KJV)

Have you ever seen someone light a fire and it grows into a big fire immediately? I'm sure your answer is NAY.

Every big fire starts as a little thing. I love to hear stories about how some businesses had their challenging start. I can remember vividly hearing some first hand accounts. One elderly and successful entrepreneur told me that he started out carrying around what he could on a bicycle before he ever got a store. Another one told me that he started shoveling and transporting dirt in a wheel barrow before later getting a truck. I can remember too, starting out patching bicycle wheels, charging 50 cents for air and also spray painting bicycles from my home's verandah at age 11 before growing my business into www.kvklives.com

With no capital other than my monthly $20 allowance, I kept my fire ablaze till today. Praise God, with my faith high, the fire is much bigger now. I haven't stopped fanning the flames for I know God will provide more capital whether through investors or otherwise to make my dreams even bigger. Thus, while I wait, I keep my HOPE's  HIGH even though times are challenging.

The point I am raising here is that nothing grows big instantly. It usually always starts small with many trials and tests before something big is accomplished. Thus, one should never get down and discouraged during the small, trying days for a Big Thing lies ahead.

In the passage above, little David finds that his brothers and the Israel team were afraid to go up against Goliath, a warrior from Philistine. He begs them to send him in to conquer this giant. The King and those in the Israelite army underestimated the power of a SMALL  MAN  with  GOD's  HELP. And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth. . .

David knew otherwise. He was certain that God would help him. With his faith high, he said, . . . The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee. (1 Samuel 17:37)

Biblical history tells us of how David slew Goliath with a single stone and beheaded him with his very own sword. Never underestimate small people and small starts for great things can become of them.

You may probably be at a point in your life where you feel that nothing big will come out of your little dream. Cast away that thought today. Everything usually starts small. DON'T  GIVE  UP! The key to becoming big and accomplishing much is to stay OPTIMISTIC, HOPEFUL and DETERMINED with God in your heart and face your challenges head on.

Something great can become of your dream and vision too. Just remember, every Big Fire Starts as a Little Thing and you have to be brave, bold and courageous and go after what you want with God's Help even though many will try to stop you and slow you down, even Prime Ministers. There will be NAYSAYERS, but push still. Weren't there negative people talking in David's time too?

Your little fire will soon become a big thing!

HOPE's  AHEAD!

What or Who God Has For You Is For You!

So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses. (Job 42:12 KJV)

No matter the stress, the pain and the trials that you may go through, what or who God has for you, is for you. Nobody can change that! Nobody can stop that!

I listened quite attentively to the young lady speak. She couldn't understand why she was going through all these life trials. She was questioning where she went wrong in life. She said that she was tired of hearing that things would get better and nothing was changing. Tears actually fell from her eyes.

I let her just let it out and then I said, "What or Who God has For You is For You! You are multi-talented and when God is ready, you will shine as the STAR you were meant to be. Every dream and passion that you have that falls under God's will, WILL come to pass."

She smiled a bit. I continued, "You see, God is allowing you to go through all of this so that when he delivers and elevates you, you would have no doubt in your mind as to who was responsible for the promotion you  received. That's just what he did with JOB." She thanked me and walked alway happy, smiling and remotivated.

I was able to see this young lady several months after. She approached me with a smile that could light the world. I listened again this time. She said, "God's working it out. He hasn't finished doing it yet, but he's doing it gradually. I can begin to see that ALL  GOD  HAS  FOR  ME  IS  FOR  ME. Things are gradually changing and the blessings are beginning to trickle in." She said, "when I look back now, I see that all my trials were just a life lesson to prepare me for my promotion just as you said."

I wished her all the best and she went happily along. Another job of motivating and encouraging someone was complete.

What ever you are going through now is just a temporary test. You will not be in it forever. The test that you took in Primary or High School, are you still taking it? NO! It's finished and you've used the results that you got from that test to help you to reach where you are now - RIGHT?

It's the very same thing with Jesus. He's testing you now and the results you get on the test will cause you to move forward with a stronger, positive, optimistic mentality as you face your tomorrows. God hasn't forgotten you! He never forgot JOB!

Job went through a hard, hard time as Bible history explains. He lost everything. He was down to his lowest. The advice he got from his wife was to CURSE God and die. Imagine the frustration. Many things stand out about Job. He remained patient. He waited on God. Job never gave up though. He always held on to his God, his faith and his HOPE.

At the end of his temporary trial, he received DOUBLE. God not only delivered him, but promoted him and gave him his due share. HIS  FAIR  SHARE  FOR  ALL!

Your time is coming too. Don't give up. Keep on Trusting. Don't be jealous of anyone. You will drive that car too. You will get some land and build or buy a house too. You will be able to have a bank book with some extra on it to move through life, help yourself and others too. God wishes above all things that we would prosper and be in good health. (3 John 1:2)

Have faith. Have hope. What or who God has for you, is for you!

Much Blessings!

Good News! Good News!

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. ( Luke 2:10 KJV)

How do you react when you get good news?

We all act differently at the sound of good news. Some of us laugh or cry. Some jump up and down. Some scream. However we act though, that is our personal way of expressing our joy and excitement.

There is one expression of joy that has been etched in my mind. It is that of a sister in the Lord who happened to receive some good news while she was at church. This 'not too thin' lady ran up and down the isle as fast as she could screaming and praising God. She slipped on the rug and got back up again and continued running and shouting and praising God.

Her testimony after explained why she to act that way. It was indeed testament that her deliverance MUST have been God. There is one thing that stood out as she shared. It was her FAITH and HOPE in God that pulled in her BREAKTHROUGH.

Good news comes in all shapes and forms and packages. That's just how God moves at times. Good news would come from people you've never met and sometimes people you least expect. Good news is many times spoken by JUDGES.

God sent the good news of his Son's birth to the shepherds through an angel. Having received this news, they were all astonished and amazed.

This same astonishment and amazement will soon be falling on you as you keep your  FAITH and HOPE high that God is going to work out EVERY matter and amaze the world with your DELIVERANCE very soon.

Good News is heading your way! Stay Optimistic, it'll soon be knocking. Hope is Definitely ahead!

God Is Right In The Fire With You

24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. 25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.  (Daniel 3:24-25 KJV)

God is right there with you.

In the passage of scripture under review, three men who were devoted to God and his work were immediately sentenced by the king. They were sentenced to die by burning in the fiery furnace. This was one of the harshest sentences back then. It was just as cruel and inhumane as beheading or stoning to death.

All three had made up in their mind that they were not going to bow to any false God because that was against their beliefs. When hundreds of others bowed, they remained firm, strong and upright and this infuriated the king and I'm sure others would have just seen it as a light thing to bow to a false God. Having been questioned by the king, they had concluded whether on not their God would deliver, they were NEVER going to bow.

"Cast them in the furnace!" commanded the King, "heat it 7 times hotter." Bible history tells us that the flames were so hot, that some of the men ordered to cast them in were slain in the process. Daniel 3:22 Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

I love what happens shortly after they were thrown in the fiery furnace. A fourth man - GOD makes his presence known and the one responsible for the inhumane act towards God's people IMMEDIATELY recognizes who he is. Proof that FOUR men were now in the fire was plain to see. It could have never been challenged by anyone. Hallelujah!

You may be in your Fiery Furnace now. Your situation may seem to be so hot that you feel like just succumbing to the flames and giving in. Please don't. You must have FAITH like that of the Three Hebrew Boys in our story today, that God Will Deliver.

When you hold on to that mustard seed faith, have no doubt in your mind that there will be a SECOND person joining you in your Furnace for ONE purpose only - that is to deliver.

HOPE  IS  AHEAD

For The Lord Is Good

For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. (Psalm 100:5 KJV)

God is Good!

I sat for a moment today, closed my eyes and thought about the many bad things that I thought and did as a child growing up to the point where I am now. Some of them made me smile at the silly things children do and others made me seriously regret and wish I could turn back the hands of time.

Above the many childlike jokes I played, the repercussions of this particular one that I'm about to share, caused me to immediately pull up my socks and behave myself. Thank God for a mother like mine.

I wanted to be the joker around the table over a decade and half ago and so the enemy had placed in my mind a very stupid plan that I would have seen on Cartoon Network. Jerry was constantly doing it to Tom and myyyyy - would Tom Scream and Jerry always had a good laugh.

So. . . .Why not try that I thought! The big day came for the enemy to help me carry out the biggest practical joke ever to hit planet earth I thought. I put a common pin in the little grooves between one of the dining room chairs where one of my twin brothers usually sits. We were then all seated around the table to have a sumptuous soup lunch which my mom had prepared.

Quite ironically, we were all waiting on him before we could pray and then eat. As he walked towards the chair, I remained as serious and innocent as I could until he sat, got dug, screamed out loud as he quickly arose, tipped the table and spilled all of our bowls of soup on us. The bad part about it is that my parents were dressed in their working clothes and we all had on our school clothes.

I laughed while everyone was serious, so they all knew it was me. I couldn't hide. The joke went too far. What happened after, has been locked and sealed in the history books of my life, but I surely did learn my lesson.

We all do silly things and make silly blunders in life. Whenever I reflect on my past mistakes, I am always grateful that God isn't like man. Despite our errors and blunders, he always stands with his hands wide open ready to forgive if we would repent and ask. God always continues to be good and his mercy is EVERLASTING.

With a God like that ruling the earth, there is definitely HOPE  AHEAD no matter the point we are at now.

For the Lord is Good! Don't give up! Hope is definitely ahead!
