Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Gossipers Will Be Gossipers - GOD IS JUDGE!
Global friend, as long as you live on planet earth around mankind, there will be GOSSIPERS. There will be those people who will just talk and comment about everything you do and say because many times they have NOTHING BETTER to do with their lives than T-A-L-K.
We should NEVER seek to live our lives by the DICTATES of others, bur rather by the instructions and passions GOD would have placed in our individual hearts. We are all gifted in different ways to do different things ALL TO THE GLORY of GOD and we should avoid condemning others, except in the strict case of steering them off a path to destruction.
Therefore, spirituality teaches us to APPRECIATE and RESPECT rather than CONDEMN, except in DOWNRIGHT - OUTRIGHT disobedience to God. Let's practice SPIRITUALITY.
The people in Jesus' time were very harsh critics too. Why? Simply because JESUS WAS DIFFERENT and did things differently. Matthew 7:1 warns, Judge not, that ye be not judged.
According to a commentary from Theologian Barnes, this command refers to rash, censorious, and unjust judgment. See Romans 2:1.
Luke 6:37 explains it in the sense of condemning. Christ does not condemn judging as a magistrate, for that, when according to justice, is lawful and necessary. Nor does he condemn our forming an opinion of the conduct of others, for it is impossible not to form an opinion of conduct that we know to be evil.
But what he refers to is a habit of forming a judgment hastily, harshly, and without an allowance for every palliating circumstance, and of expressing such an opinion harshly and unnecessarily when formed. It rather refers to private judgment than judicial, and perhaps primarily to the habits of the scribes and Pharisees.
When we see or hear something about another brother or sister, it is BIBLICAL to approach them and ASK what you want to know rather than join with the CRITICS and GOSSIPERS and tear that person's name and reputation apart.
Paul instructs what we ought to do in Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
Nevertheless, if you, like me ALWAYS come under harsh criticism from OTHERS who do not understand us and our God Given mandate and are probably very jealous of our talents, relax and remember - Gossipers Will Be Gossipers - GOD IS JUDGE!
