My Dare 2 Be Different International Victory Centre Cottage Church at Boyds - Trinity Parish - St. Kitts was quite different this morning. From the register that we mark, I am aware that we have an equal number of youth boys and youth girls that attend on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings and Friday Nights. Therefore, when I was midway through today's service and noticed that only youth boys were present at our COME AS YOU ARE SERVICE, God's Holy Spirit told me that now was a great opportunity to not PREACH, but to sit and talk down to earth, man to man with THE MEN OF TOMORROW.
Therefore, I rest the well prepared type written sermon aside, sat among the youth boys and just spoke as the spirit led.
I started talking about the power and importance of FORGIVENESS and used 1 John 1:9 as a focus and guide verse. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Why? You're probably asking. This is why. We are living in an era where many boys are being taught REVENGE AND HATE AND "ANYTING YOU DO ME A GOIN DO YOU BACK MENTALITY!"
With this mentality being driven into the subconscious of most young men on social media, television, through the music and sad to say by some parents, they are growing up with the mentality that it isn't MACHO to say sorry or even ask for forgiveness or they are called a "SISSY" or "PUNK." Therefore, what do they do? They start playing BADMAN as a youth boy, develop this hard to break habit and later on end up in very big trouble.
I used this morning to remind the gathering of youth boys that GOD and his son JESUS Christ, didn't market themselves as MACHO. They were humble and promoted the importance of LOVE AND FORGIVENESS rather that HATE and UNFORGIVENESS.

I also took the opportunity today to remind our Dare 2 Be Different International Victory Centre Youth Boys of the simple things of saying good morning, good night, good afternoon, please, thank you etc.
They debated with me that many times when they try to show manners and respect to adults, they do not get it back and so it really didn't make any sense. I could have very well understood their thinking as SOME ADULTS REALLY HAVE NO MANNERS AT ALL FOR REAL. Just monitor many adults this week ALONE and you'll see what I'm talking about. Then they want to CONDEMN and CRITICIZE this new generation of our new ways, methods and strategies of doing things. SMH
Coming down to the end, I reminded our youth boys of our Dare 2 Be Different International Ministry's Pledge.
I AM AN EAGLE
I WILL TRUST GOD
I WILL FOLLOW JESUS EXAMPLE
I WILL DO RIGHT
I WILL DO GOOD
I am fully aware, that growing up as a youth, it is very, very, very competitive and many youth are looked down upon, disrespected in different ways, go through many trials and struggles and get little love and attention.
I used the story of Job's hard trials even as a servant of God to show them that being a GOD-FOLLOWER doesn't mean that any of us is exempted from the woes and issues of life and hurt and pain that this life offers. It is simply that we must always seek to keep the FAITH during good times and bad.
I reminded them, that even though people will call us down and try to say all manner of evil against us to tarnish our names simply because they hate us or may not agree with us, it is the very same thing they did to the one we choose to follow - JESUS CHRIST, so we shouldn't be shocked one bit.
I stressed to tomorrow's male leaders that WHEN GOD MEASURES A MAN that is after his own heart, at the end of all the pain and trials, HE WILL COME OUT ON TOP just like Job.

Friend, after today's service, I went to my bedroom and was just relaxing and reflecting and my trials and successes in life and dreaming of my future. Whether I'll still pursue MEDICINE as a career, or stick to ministry or politics or business or just do all.
God then told me suddenly that I needed to go and write just what we did today at our COTTAGE MINISTRY AND CHURCH at Trinity Parish - Boyds - St. Kitts because someone needed this little bit of encouragement to make it on to the next day, the next week, the next month, the next year.
I really do not know if it was intended for you, but I would like to say this in closing. HOPE IS DEFINITELY AHEAD FOR YOU.
When people measure you, they bring up all your faults and flaws and past sins. When GOD MEASURES YOU, HE BRINGS OUT AND SHOWCASES THE BEST IN YOU AND PREPARES A WONDERFUL DELIVERANCE AND VICTORY FOR YOU!
EVERYTHING THAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH IS A LIGHT THING FOR GOD TO HANDLE ONCE YOU PRAY AND ASK HIM TO GET INVOLVED, KEEP THE FAITH AND NOT GIVE UP!
Don't give up now! Just wait his breakthrough and deliverance as you stay working hard and trusting God.
When God measures a man, he forgives them and ONLY SEES THE BEST IN THEM! You are special! You are unique! You are destined to make it! Don't let anyone dampen your spirit and tell you otherwise.
