Did You Forget To Give Thanks Again? Smh
Many of us are guilty of forgetting to give GOD thanks daily. We get so caught up and busy with life that we tend to forget the simple yet profound things that are most capable of keeping us steadfast and firm on GOD - our firm foundation. One such thing is CONSTANT PRAYER?
There are one thousand things that we can complain about today, but I honestly believe that there are one billion things that we can give GOD thanks for despite our individual trials.
When last. . .
Have you thanked God for the fact that you have some hair on your head?
Have you thanked God that you can see and hear and walk and talk?
Have you thanked God for providing you with clothes and shoes to wear and a roof over your head?
Have you thanked God for your marriage or the very fact that you are SINGLE, like me and enjoying every bit of it?
Have you thanked God for your child or children and your immediate or extended family?
Have you thanked God for TRUE friends and dependable acquaintances?
Have you thanked God for your dog or cat or rabbits, the only true "PERSONS" you feel comfortable hanging with? (You may laugh, but I am being REAL! Some people have gone through so much, they only feel comfortable talking with their pets.)
Have you thanked God for the MASSIVE COURT CASE THAT YOU WON, when everyone else thought that you were going down and now they are in UTTER SHOCK AND SILENT AND REFUSE TO EVEN CONGRATULATE YOU BECAUSE OF ALL THEY WERE SAYING?
I can go on and on about the many simple things of life that you and I can give God thanks for, but this would make this devotional the NEVER ENDING DEVOTIONAL.
This very same verse under review today, 1 Chronicles 16:34 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever, was used multiple times by King David as he wrote the Psalms. I can therefore infer then, that he recognized that the answers to life's trials and problems come when we LEARN TO GIVE GOD THANKS.
Let's stop making this crucial mistake if we really want to see SUCCESS and DELIVERANCE come to our lives. Let's stop forgetting to GIVE GOD THANKS DAILY.
