YES PLEASE

Brother Khrystus and Sister Shania Burnham

When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? ( John 5:6 KJV)

 Just Tell Jesus YES!

Over the years of our existence, dozens of children and youth have grown to love being around our Dare 2 Be Different Team members, training sessions and activities. Many parents release their youth into our hands because they are sure they are well cared for, encouraged, guided aright and constantly motivated.

Quite recently, a little chap who was around one of our activities came up to me and whispered, "Do you have anything to eat because I didn't eat anything before I came here." I quickly rose from my computer, washed my hands and started preparing a burger for him. I asked, would you like lettuce and all the works on your burger, his response was - YES  PLEASE.

I was not only amazed by his manners, but his response got me thinking.

Jesus cares very much about our well being. That's why he came to earth. He really wants to bless, heal, forgive and restore broken situations. When we review many of the accounts of his work on earth when he came down, we see that was his mission.

The Bible says in Mark 2:17 KJV . . . They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Jesus saw the impotent man in John 5:6 in his situation and immediately knew that he was like that for a long time. He asks him a simple question. Wilt thou be made whole?

Even though the man explained his situation in much words to the master, I believe he simply wanted to say  YES  PLEASE.

Jesus stands at your door now and knocks. He says to you, calling you by name,

Do you need healing? Do you need salvation? Do you need restoration? Do you need a blessing? Do you need a financial breakthrough?

Friend - all you have to say to him in response and in FAITH with much HOPE is YES  PLEASE and you will have it.

Keep you Faith and Hope HIGH. Your answer is coming!

Fear Not - Only Believe

29 year old Brother Khrystus V. K. Wallace, President and Founder of KVK ENTERPRISES, Dare 2 Be Different International and The Blazing Star Movement and President of The West Farm, Boyds and Palmetto Point Community Group in St. Kitts

But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. (Luke 8:50 KJV)

Why Fear?

Fear can cripple a positive mindset if you allow it to. The story is told of a young entrepreneur who ventured into the world of business in his early twenties. Things were going perfectly well. He was building a large clientele, he was building his savings, he was able to now drive his own car and he had gotten approval to start building his own home.

Sadly, during the prime of his youth, as he was meeting with success, he made an unwise decision to hang with the wrong crowd when he wasn't occupied with his business. While 'liming' one night, a bullet shot and killed the gentleman who was right next to him and the young entrepreneur fainted. When he was brought back to himself, he never recovered from that state of shock and fear, and never functioned well for the rest of his life, thus business closure was the only option.

We choose whether we want fear to cripple us or not. All of us are bound to go through trying situations in life. Health. Family. Relationships. Employment. Business. Financial. You name it. Some will bring much pain and hurt and depression. Others will teach us life long lessons. What we must do though, is to ensure that amidst them all, we must choose to remain HOPEFUL and stay BELIEVING that things will be better and God is well able to deliver.

The passage under review today tells of Jairus, a ruler of the synagogue who has a sick daughter. He quickly rushes to find Jesus to explain the situation. While out with the master, he receives word from one of his employees that his daughter is dead and he need not disturb the Master anymore. Jesus heard the talk and utters some powerful words Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. (Luke 8:50 KJV)

Bible history tells us that Jesus only spoke two words and things were back to normal again - the girl was brought back to life.

I, like you, want things to grow normal again. My situation may not be yours, but the fact is we ALL are facing challenges. We all have situations that need urgent attention. I have promised myself to try not to worry and fear, but BELIEVE  ONLY. It is when I'm in that spirit of faith, the Master is prepared to speak a few words over my situation and change it instantly.

Please join me and develop that type of spirit too.

FEAR  NOT  Friend - Only Believe. Hope is Ahead!

Think Positively

29 year old Brother Khrystus V. K. Wallace, President and Founder of Dare 2 Be Different International - www.daretobedifferentskn.com

Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. (Psalm 27:3 KJV)

On the dawn of this a New Year, let's agree together that WE  WILL  CHANGE  OUR  THINKING. We Will Think Positively!

Many historical accounts record that a person's success and failure in life, many times, had to do with their way of thinking. This New Year's Day 2012, I was more so encouraged during a conversation with a now successful businessperson. He said, "Success comes with determination and positive thinking. Keep going and stay positive and you are bound to make it."

I smiled.

He went on, "Nobody has to be smart Khrystus. They just need to be determined and put ALL their talents to work and they will make it. Many successful people today, were just average people with a spirit of determination. But - they made it."

His words lifted me off the ground and put in me a new desire to surge ahead in 2012.

He continued. "You know Khrystus, I wasn't always rich. I had a hard start. I started out on a mere $200 - $300 salary early in my life. I then decided to give it all up after my wife had agreed and we headed for New Opportunities far away from home with only $500 to our name. I begged shelter many times, but I was determined. I had to deal with the agony of having to care for my wife as she looked at me desperately while we were drowning in debt. We had no children yet.

I sang one chorus, I constantly said, if others can make it and be successful, so can I. I kept knocking on doors. I got turned down many times. My name or company name was not known. I had a bachelors degree, but people didn't care. After knocking and suffering for months, one day, I got a YES - I'll try your services. That one YES turned my family and I into millionaires within three years. After I did that one job, word spread like wild fire." He continued, "And you know Khrystus, I never needed a dime to start my first business. There are businesses you can start with $0 dollars - It's all about your talent."

He closed our conversation by saying, "This year, you'll face some challenges - many challenges. You may possibly be tempted to give up. But always remember my story, Never Stop Knocking. Never Stop Pushing. Keep thinking Positively. One Day, One Day, you will get a YES  ANSWER, just like me that will change your life forever."

I felt like I was soaring with the eagles already. My mind went back to the passage of scripture in Psalm 27:3 which says,  Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

I resolve, this year -

to Never Give Up though challenges come and foes rise up against me.
to not be fearful, knowing that God is well able to deliver.
to always stay confident come what may.

I resolve to rise - Will You Join Me at the start of 2012

Think Positively - There's Hope Ahead!

All Will Be Well

Brother Khrystus holding a guava that a child brought to church for him

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. (John 15:7 KJV)

Life is so strange at times. One situation can change all your plans and immediately command your attention.

A sudden family emergency sometime back caused me to stay up until midnight at the hospital after getting up extra, extra early that morning. You know, during emergencies, all sorts of things run through one's mind as they endeavour to keep their faith high. While sitting in the outpatients area, a lady passed by, greeted my family and I and said that Dare 2 Be Different was doing a great job on it's weekly youth programme on Saturdays at 11am on Dominion Radio 91.5FM in St. Kitts.

She encouraged further, "You are doing a great job and like Nehemiah, you cannot come down now. You are reaching the youth, those who aren't youth and the world."

She said, I'm not a youth, but the program is so much encouragement to me that I do not miss it. Strangely enough, that was the 3rd NON-YOUTH to say that to us while we waited patiently for the doctor's word.

The sister then inquired as to why we were there and I explained the situation. With a VERY BIG SMILE on her face, she looked at me and said - "ALL  IS  GOING  TO  BE  WELL. You always tell us that on radio, so it's my turn to tell you in return."

I surely needed that word. I smiled and watched her gleefully walk away.

Right after that reminder, WE  PRAYED  AGAIN. I was then reminded of God's promise in John 15:7 which tells us that all we have to do is to make the effort to live on God's principles and instructions and I believe this also covers asking him for forgiveness and restitution when we slip up, for we all will at times.

When we aim to live a life for him, he PROMISES that what ever we want or need, he SHALL give it to us once he sees it fit, so we need not worry.

After that reminder word from the sister, I was overly confident now, that ALL  WILL  BE  WELL.

Yes Friend. . . Your circumstance may not be Medical, but rather financial, or family wise, or job wise. What ever it is, live TODAY and onwards with the words from the sister constantly in your mind - ALL  WILL  BE  WELL!

Hope is always ahead!

You Are GOOD At Something

Brother Khrystus and Sister Tamoya

Then he which had received the ONE talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: (Matthew 25:24 KJV)

You are talented too!

If I had enough funds to start building the Dare 2 Be Different International Mission Centre today, I'll restructure my entire life and activities and get to work. Our young people definitely need to be encouraged and motivated.

A Dare 2 Be Different Academy Impact Session - www.daretobedifferentacademy.com yesterday with a primary student almost brought tears to my eyes. I then remembered that counselors aren't to cry - they are to remain down-to-earth, listen and help. The child spoke and spoke and spoke. Telling of good times and bad. Wishes and Regrets. As they ended their talk, they said, "I'm not good at anything."

That statement killed my energy instantly, even though I needed it to encourage. With a smile on my face outside, but burning deeply within, I pondered. What should I say? The appropriate God-sent words then came to mind. YOU  ARE  GOOD  AT  SOMETHING  and we'll find it out!

You see across the world today, we have many youth who are not positive and HOPEFUL about themselves and about their future and talents. These youth grow into adults with that same mentality and the cycle continues from generation to generation.

Why do you think that employers have so many naysayers and doubtful, unmotivated people just looking to make a dollar to pay their next bill or buy something for self gratification and then do it again next week or month? (Forgive my long sentence. It was intended.)

Why do you think churches and extracurricular groups have so many non active bench warmers and a few people doing the hard work? It's simply because many times, those that don't want to do anything aren't confident enough that they can do it.

Many persons have grown a doubtful mentality over the years. It's very hard to change that among seasoned adults, but we can start with our youth.

Let's start breaking that culture of "I'm not good at anything," and build a culture of 'I  CAN  DO  IT." as Paul recommends in  Philippians 4:13.  I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

YES  WE  CAN!

In the passage under review today, it is evident that God never excluded anybody from receiving at least ONE talent. It is up to us to turn over our TALENT or TALENTS and yield results, or put them up like the person in Mathew 25:24.

The point is though - You are Good at Something! Sit, relax, think and ask yourself this question. "What do I like to do? What am I good at?"

When you find the answer. . . shout and bless God to the top of your voice and say. . . .I'm really GOOD at something and I'm going to put my talent to work from today.

One day when God allows my vision of an International Mission Centre that will impact dozens of YOUTH and others to come to pass, I believe in faith, that we will begin to see our Caribbean and Worldwide societies yield more positive, optimistic people that use what they're GOOD at doing to make a big impact individually and collectively.

Until then. . . let's stay HOPEFUL and do our little bit to make the biggest impact we can, with the limited resources we have. There is certainly nothing too hard for God to bring to pass.

Don't give up! Hope is ahead!

Your Future Is What You Make It

Brother Khrystus and Sister Shania Burnham

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. ( Psalm 121:1 KJV)

You determine your destiny!

I always like to be around POSITIVE  HOPEFUL  PEOPLE. They help to add fuel to all my hopes and dreams as I listen to them. When they talk, they inspire me to keep on pushing and never give up. I had the privilege to dialogue with an owner of a successful business a few weeks back. He gave me some words of advice that were of much encouragement. He said as he smiled, "Boy, you just have to keep pushing. Your future is what you make it."

He recounted about having entered the world of business as a teenager. He said at around age 20 - 21, he had it all. His own car, house, money, EVERYTHING. Then - by age 25 - 26, he lost it all!

The business owner went on to state that he had to go to live and work on a construction site for some two years to regain himself. During that time, he reflected on his past decisions and mistakes and he took a leap at business again. He was determined to NEVER  GIVE  UP and have a Successful Future.

Today, this businessman operates a successful business, with several branches around the world and he owes it all to God's constant help, as many times, he couldn't see his way, but Jehovah Jireh always delivered.

Despite the trials that you face now, you can decide to be happy or sad. You can decide to still go after your dreams or remain bottled up in your little corner. Your future is what YOU make it.

May I encourage you to learn to FULLY  DEPEND  on Jesus all the time. The Psalmist admonishes us to always ensure that we always look unto GOD who can help. This distinguishes the true believer and hopeful person from all others.

God is just waiting for you to cry out and mean it from the bottom of your heart and he will help. Don't get down. Rise up and build for your future. You can do it with God's Help.

Your Future is What You Make It! May God's hand rest over ALL your dreams and ambitions once they fall under his will and may they ALL come to pass and bring you success!

Stay HOPEFUL!
