Keep Out Of People's Kitchen! Keep Out of People's Business!

Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this. (John 12:7  KJV)

If I start cooking some food, I never like anyone coming into the kitchen to interfere. Let me cook my souse and goatwater and bake Dare 2 Be Different PIZZA for the Youth we Impact - ALONE. Since you don't know what I'm cooking and what's going on in my kitchen, I always feel that people should stay out!

Around the world, too many of us like to get into people's kitchen to gather all the information / news that we can get, while our own pots are burning and our food is turning BLACK.

Why am I going around the bush? I have to remember that I am not in my favorite class from high school, English Literature, where many of the writings in the books we used were penned in parable style. To put it plain and simple, we need to MIND  OUR  OWN  BUSINESS  AND  STOP  GETTING  INVOLVED  IN  OTHER  PEOPLE'S  BUSINESS  IF  WE  ARE  NOT  INVITED.

This hasn't just started happening. It has happened ever since the beginning of time.

Don't you remember that Cain was too busy minding Abel's business and offerings that he got jealous and killed him?

Don't you remember that Jacob and his mother were too busy thinking about the blessing that ESAU was about to receive that they devised a cunning plan to steal it?

It has been happening for hundreds of years. What I tend to notice though, with many of the people who like to dwell and lime in other people's kitchens, is this. While they are busy minding the business of others, they are failing to see their pots are burning and TURNING BLACK. They are failing to see their own problems in their lives, their homes, their marriages, their children's lives, their jobs etc.

Cain was too busy watching the honest offering Abel was giving. If he was minding his own business and keeping his eyes on God - not man, he probably would have loved and respected God much more and offered to Him something FAAAAR better than what he was giving.

It was the same thing with Jacob and his mother. If they just stopped minding the business of their brother and son and waited on their blessings to come, all of the anger and the migration could have been avoided.

In the passage of scripture under review today, those around were minding the business of Mary while she did her very best for The Master and anointed him with expensive oil. An inquisitive Judas Iscariot speaks up and questions the move. Jesus quickly shuts him up and says - "Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this." (John 12:7  KJV)

If you read further on, Jesus continues to make some valid statements endorsing the move of Mary with her oil. I believe Jesus' words to Judas back then are the very same words to many of us TODAY.

"Leave people's business alone and focus on our own if you are not invited into their SITUATIONS  AND  LIVES!" I honestly believe friend, when we do that, we would have more time to focus on living right, doing right and bearing good fruit.

Keep Out Of People's Kitchen! Keep Out of People's Business! When you do that, you'll be able to prevent your pot from turning black or your situation from getting worse.

. . . so WHAT if she bought a new car or isn't driving one? So what if the dress they have on today, they wore it last week? So what if he bought some Timberland shoes and only works for minimum wage? So what if someone doesn't smile with you like others? So what if they got a promotion? So what if they went to jail and are doing their best to not let the SCAR keep them down and rise again?

Don't go around taking everything you hear about others and making it fact when you don't know the what's cooking in their KITCHEN. To put it plain, Don't go around taking everything you hear about others and making it fact when you don't know their STORY and SITUATION!

For peace sake - come out of people's KITCHEN and go in YOUR  OWN!

Friend, remember too, isn't every person or so called friend that you let into your KITCHEN, and let look down in your pot, is CONFIDENTIAL, so be very careful who you let into your KITCHEN! Always remember that finding CONFIDENTIAL people now-a-days is like looking for a NEEDLE in a HAYSTACK.

So, if you don't want the dumplings in your POT bouncing up and down the road, know which spoon you let stir your goat water. (Goatwater is a popular St. Kitts-Nevis dish)

Hope is Ahead for you once you focus on YOU and keep your eyes and tongue out of people's kitchen and in YOURS!

I didn't say so - Jesus speaking in his word in John 12:7 reminds us to "LET  HER  ALONE / LET  HIM  ALONE which means. . . ."
